John Anderson is one the most underrated Country Music artists of all time. A local small market country station near me plays alot of his classics regularly, but the large market CW stations are so "plugged into format", that greats like JA are left off the playlist.
I LOVE THIS SONG. IT SADDENS ME FOR THE PLIGHT OF THE AMERICAN INDIAN, THE ORIGINAL GATEKEEPERS OF THIS LAND. MAY GOD FORGIVE US FOR WHAT WE DID TO THESE PEOPLE, AND IN HIS GRACE, MAY THEY EXTEND THAT FORGIVENESS TO US. LORD, COME AND HEAL OUR LAND
Great job, John Anderson .... really great .... John Rich ..... probably the worse I have ever heard John Rich do .... wow .. He could NOT find the harmony ... and was off key .... I like John Rich, and he usually does a good job ... but not this time, John..
i was fortunate enough to see him live at a fair here in ohio last year, among his songs this was one of them and by far my fav.
as far as this performance, individually these guys are great, however, when they sing together over each other its a horrific sound and quit frankily ruined this performance in the process.
good song but john rich needs to stop singing it. he would sound better on his own, and the violine player messed up in the beginning. john anderson sounds better alone.
@culk99999 I think he meant to switch it up in the begining, you know how they always do that for live shows, but I agree with you, reneck gal should not have said that about gretchen. She was one of them one hit wonder deals. John is one of the greatest real american country singers. And yea John Rich didnt really help on this one. Good singer, but Anderson sounds perfect by himself, awesome voice. Really makes the song.
@psyjpg: where in the world have you been for the last 10 years? He's currently on Celebrity Apprentice (probably soon to lose to Marlee Matlin), but more than that, set Nashville/country music on its ears. Has a terrific ability to see the world and set it to music and has become an outstanding producer in addition to his talent.
Brilliant song. Beautyfuly sung, Also big hand for the rest of the band. The fiddle music is realy haunting and melodic. A pleasure to watch and listen to.
This song by John tugged at my heartstrings when first released, but little did I know that 15 years later, my life would lead me to the "home of the Seminole." John is from a short distance away in Central FL originally, and living here now and taking the time to experience the history and the geography makes the song even that more poignant.
@RedneckArkieGal92 im sorry but that was a dumb statement. no one listen to her any more and john lives on forever with many songs, especially seminole wind.

my point exactly... when rich chimed in, it ruined the performance and sounded dreadful
