Nope, Zeus doesnt exist because in the mythical stories, Zeus is a war fighting God who actually does use lighting bolts and shit and speaks to people directly, to get them to do what he wanted. You dont see that today now do you? The way our God is described is everywhere but silent, because he wants us to find him so that he knows we really care for him. By finding him, its having him in your heart and believing in him. "Zeus" also never mentioned anything about believing in him.

Its not "just a story". The bible is not a LITERAL text. Meaning everything you read in the bible is not EXACTLY what happened. If it says God spoke to them, it could have been through spirit guidance, or through mystical supernatural things such as the burning bush that moses walked by. I'm pretty sure Moses was the one who parted the red sea in the Exodus book, not God.

In fact God assured him that he will be with Moses, thus making Moses a man of faith for believing in the Lords command. God sent 10 plagues on egypt, would u say that Moses had done that? God was the one who parted the red sea, Moses is just like you and I, a mere human. When moses striked the rock to get water, he claimed he did it, and for that he didn't see the promise land.

@Sparks217 My friend i would advise you to read your bible again. The bible is literal and God does speak to people. The same way how he spoke to Adam and eve, Noah, Abraham and through his descendants. There are different ways how God speaks to people. When the children of Israel demanded to hear God's voice and not for Moses to tell them that God spoke to him. God then spoke in an audible voice for all of hear. they couldn't take it because it was like a voice of thunder.

By disasters i didnt mean earthly ones, i mean the ones man creates. Dude listen, if God never challanges us then we wont understand the meaning of life, if we are lazy and he does everything for us then whats the point to life? The world also isnt rainbows and sunshine so dont expect everything to go the way you want it. God is metaphoracally comparable to a human parent. The difference is, is that he's with you. The test is faith. If you have that you wont care about death.

God does not cause the death of people. People cause the death of people through disasters, evil causes the death of people through disasters. God cannot simply reach his hand out and pull you to saftey. You know why? Because he's testing your faith. Deep believers surley believed that they will be alright even if they died, they dont fear death. You dont see air but you need to survive, same with God. Its a test of faith.
