  • I'm not into Haggis.But I Do love Linda

  • have you heard sharon osbourne sing?

  • Haggis? The dish made from a calf's stomach? Oops, this is pre-Vegetarian Maccas!!

  • She performs this really well, very ballsy

  • Haggus, not Huggies, lol.

  • @aliceborealis nap..It's Haggis...! a traditional Scottish dish !♪

  • give it up love, you r ruining a gud song

  • It wasn't Chips and Huggies but Chips and Haggis,

a Scottish dish made from Sheep inners.

  • Chips and huggies?! She said haggis lol.

  • Atleast she sings better than Yoko...

  • Man I alway dugg the album version man, but the live cook was bloody brilliant

  • @janfreidun yeah man is howie casey there, on stage? is he? He was brilliant!!!!

  • @janfreidun Howie Casey played live with Wings almost every performance- yes it is Howie Casey

  • gotta love haggus

  • yes

    love the studio version

  • Nancy Pelosi, the Cook of the House!

  • Sorry I know she's dead and I'm sure she was a great cook and a wonderful mother, but she always was a horrible singer and musician. Paul should never have dragged her on stage. From what I've heard she never wanted to go in the first place. Anyways this is hardly a feminist anthem, with her singing about her place in the kitchen. I know this won't be a popular post, but I'm just being honest here....

  • no she couldn't sing, but it is kind of sweet, that paul couldn't stand to be away from her.

  • her backing vocals were always fantastic outstanding!!! made the songs.

and this song is great too. love to sing along with it :-DDD

  • Long time Beatles, and solo Beatles fan.

This is the first time I've heard this song, or heard Linda sing solo for that matter, and I like it alot. It's got a catchy beat, and I the lyrics are smart and funny too.

Thanks for the post, I'm using it in my Speed of Sound playlist :-)

    Cheers,

    WIST

  • Hmmm... interesting point. Paul did leave this song off the Live Wings double album.

  • @FlamingoKicker Of course he did, it wasn't performed on that tour!! This song was on the setlist for the "Back To The Egg" world tour, not the Venus & Mars or Wings at the Speed Of Sound

  • But wasn't "Cook of the House" on Wings at the Speed of Sound? I know Paul sang alot of his songs from that album on that first tour. Maybe Linda didn't think she was ready to sing in public upfront yet?

  • Yep, this track is on the Wings At The Speed Of Sound but remember McCartney's world tour was sort of a quest to show everyone there was indeed music after the beatles so he took only his best material. It wasn't that Linda wasn't ready, remember on the very first Wings Tours of 1972, she sang lead on "Seaside Woman", a reggae song she wrote.

  • Haggis

  • How does a New York girl adopt an English accent?

    Explains Madonna.

  • Very cute song! RIP Linda!

  • she, uh, put nice energy into the song?

  • CookOfTheHouse, I would recommend you to erase some nasty comments. Your videos and Linda are great.

  • i know, but hookendonbelieven's messages are fun, so the're staying

  • Thanks for sharing! Linda was wonderful! Who cares what she sounded like? She was singing from the heart and that was really cool.

  • Who cares if she could sing. What a love story, Paul and Linda. He is the greatest rock star in the world, and he wanted to take his wife along. I found one like that. Not many are that lucky.

  • She needed a vocal coach badly!!!

  • You don't know shit about Wings so stop posting!

  • Linda couldn't carry a tune in a bucket!!!

  • I sincerely hope you die one of these days...painfully

  • Looks like you already have!!!

  • Looks like I already have? What the hell is that suposed to mean???

  • Take it anyway you want, honey.

  • alright, darling...this is getting funnier every day, isn't it?

  • What a phrase! LOL!

Did you make it up or is it common in your language?

Seriously, she can't. But who cares? I've got an awful lot of respect for her to stand on a stage and sing solo to a crowd! She's got guts!

And she's a gentle soul. I didn't get a word out when I met them and she got me to calm down. So sweet.

  • Interesting, briefly explain your meet with them?

  • Ages ago... Was a massive fan of Paul as a teen. On holiday stumbled accidently into the backgarden of their farm. When I realised where I was I stood rooted to the ground and could hardly stumble. Linda was very kind and eased me up. Brief talk (= all I could manage), hand shake, that's it. Didn't even have a camera on me.

  • Dude, you're very lucky!!

  • Pero que mal cantaba!!

  • Lo que importaba de Linda no era qué tan bien cantaba, sino su entusiasmo y lo valiente que era de subirse a un escenario sin tener experiencia musical alguna...

  • i love that video!!!!!!! i love it!!!!

  • Love it! Its 'Haggis' by the way, not 'Huggies' lol.

  • Great video.Thank you for sharing.I miss Linda a lots:(
