I am a very big fan (not one of those that can quote off cool amounts of history from his classic comics, tho) of THE HULK. I am an even BIGGER fan of SPAWN, because I CAN tell you bunches of interesting things about his development, or storyline.
But even though I MIGHT even choose Spawn to win over the Hulk in MOST cases, I don't think evenSuperMan has a chance against a fully powered Hulk.
My opinion is just that Hulk should have been higher than Spawn. Just my thot tho. Rock on.

@Mrjguy15 The song I used for GL is "Blow Me Away" by Breaking Benjamin. It was in Halo 2, I think, which was why I picked it for the space-faring hero. The GLC are hardly Spartans, but I thought that a theme from one space marine character would work well with another.
@MayBheLyn28 Superman's strength changes with every story he's in, not because they actually fluctuate like Hulk or Gladiator, but because writers can mess around with this stuff. Even the same writer. In Action Comics by Morrison, he's pretty weak, but still really strong. Nothing compared to Morrison's All-Star Superman though, where he's certainly stronger than Hulk, Goku, Thor, or anyone else you'd want to list. I just kind of picked an average strength. I'd put him stronger if I redid it.

You know, powerfull should mean a person who could do very usefull things with it's power, some like force fields and telekinesis, these can construct bridges, buildings, or a lot for cities and for the world, these 2 are just small examples, being powerfull is not being able to beat another being, but being able to do good and useful things, the flash shoudn't be in this list neither wonder woman, and having destructive powers is not being powerfull, just... destructive.

Hulk Should be tied with Sentry. Supes should be tied with thor and Captain Marvel. The only way Marvel or Thor can beat supes is because of Supes' magic vulnerability.

Second, Supes could only lift Thor's hammer after Odin gave him permission; by the end of the miniseries, he couldn't. Marvel was from Fawcett comics and from a different Demnsion in the story where he first met Superman so his universes Hercules, Mercury, etc. could be more powerful than DC's. He also had Zeus power which might have added to his speed and strength as they didn't define Zeus power. Also DC's Hercules beat Wonder Woman and later stories changed it to say as strong as Hercules and fast as Mercury or Hermes as they weren't as much into male bashing as earlier stories.

In my own opinion, Thor is indeed the strongest, I'm not so sure why GL is on this list, but I like the placement of sentry, a very overlooked superhero, and I'm not a fanboy but I do think Hulk is a very broken superhero and probably should be higher on the list because of it, other than that it's a respectable list, well done sir.
The only reason Thor is more powerful than Superman is because of his control of asgardian magic. And if you put the flash and green lantern on the list of the strongest superheroes they just make no sense to me.
Let's make this abundantly clear: Thor holds back during his battles with the Hulk, while Hulk goes all out. He's good friends with Bruce Banner and would never take his life.

The truth is, Hulk's power levels fluctuate wildly, and I'm going for some kind of medium range here of how strong he usually might be. I think that at normal, non-Ultra-pissed levels, Hulk is weaker than Thor. That said, IF I make another one, I'll put him higher. BUT I'll only make another one if people ASK.
@KojiTsunami Thor is number one because of the Godblast that once beat Galactus, the ability to increase his strength by ten with Warrior Madness, and everything that he just did in his battles with Glory during the Chaos War. Hulk and Superman fanboys never recognize those powers. However, if Sentry TRULY had the power of a million exploding suns, I don't know if Thor could beat him. I am a Thor fan. But, I am not like Superman and Hulk fanboys. I admit and recognize other hero's abilties.

@KojiTsunami It all depends if you take HULK himself or Banner + Hulk. Banner + Hulk is kind of weak. Hulk alone is in the top 10 most powerful beings in the marvel universe; capable of rising his power level to one of a celestial (AKA capable of destroying the universe). Hulk alone = Permanent linearly increase of rage with no stopping the increase.
@RealMihaiQC I find Hulk alone, a permanently angry ragebomb, to be really, really boring. All the things that make Hulk cool, (for example, his compassion, loyalty and protectiveness as Savage Hulk, his craftiness as Joe Fixit, his righteous fury as the Green Scar, his EVERYTHING as the Merged Hulk) come from Banner. Also, consider that without Banner's influence, Hulk isn't a super-hero so much as a rage machine. And therefore, not eligible.

It's been long established that Thor has been holding back against mortals for fear that his godly power makes him too strong and thus too lethal for Earthlings. Furthermore, Thor has beaten Hulk, even when Zeus temporarily blocked most of Thor's power and Thor had only one arm! He actually KILLED the Hulk. Now that he has the Odinforce, almost no one (including Thanos, Galactus, etc.) can even touch him.
I agree about including Green Lantern but as much as I like the Flash, he shouldn't be on the list. I would substitute him with Icon. Ion is a match for Superman.

That said, I'd definitely keep the Flash. We're talking about a man who can run fast enough to create a black hole. He's punched out Superman-level characters before. It's explicit that Superboy Prime is terrified of Kid Flash. To anyone who wants me to do a remake of this: I'm open to suggestions, but I'm keeping the Flash.
@Steve17010 Flash can do hundreds of IMP(Infinite Mass Punch) in the blink of an eye to superman, it's noted that than an IMP is the same as being hit by a white dwarf star exploding, and superman was knocked out by that happening to him, so hundreds of IMP's so quick would kill superman, and the flash wouldn't break his hand or anything because at that speed he is invulnerable to any kind of friction :)

Flash is the fastest not the strongest so he shouldn't even be on the list. Hulk is obviously the strongest. Everybody else on the list would just piss him off making him even stronger. You know what- just take a look at 4 comic books from 1996' - "Dc vs Marvel universe" It's been done by both Marvel and Dc so it's a trustworthy source of information. Having said so, in these 4 albums: Superman defeats Hulk with one big punch(what makes him more powerful than Thor and Sentry as well). Cpt. Marvel defeats Thor- these are the most important fights. Don't argue. Just downlad them (they're generally pretty cool comics:) )

A good sign of bad writing is when you make characters so powerful that you can't match them in a fight with anyone without having them become suddenly stupid- and having the reader ask "Why don;t they just use BLANK" every panel.
Characters like Thor, Silver Surfer, Superman, Flash- have had their powers stretched to silly, ridiculous levels- and now they have to be written with excuses. It would be better if they just reset everyones powers back to how they were originally written.
Golden age superman was the weakest who at first couldnt even fly and heavy artillery wounded him. then the Modern Superman, then the actual superman, and finally the bronze age one and the king of all the silver age superman capable of moving planets and travel trough space and time, he was so powerful that they got 18 types of kryptonyte to make things even with the bad guys, superman was weaken in other comica to give enemies a chance.
Superman wasnt killed by Doomsday he beat him but died for the wounds and effort he had to make to beat him.... And even with that theres different Superman levels of powers of his different comics...
Beside, there is one old comic book from late 70s in which Superman faces Hulk. Hulk survives for about 2-3 minutes. He manages to punch Superman merely once. and then he's quickly overpowered by him. So here we have another proof that Sup is stronger than Hulk and Thor and so propably- than Sentry as well.
I must admit that I always imagined myself that Thor, the god and son of Odin himself shall be more powerful than hulk-human chemically and genetically tranformed into something stronger. God vs human? c'mon. Thor should win. But as it seems, the creators try ro prove recently that their strength is at least equal. And yeah- it was really sad as i was watching last avengers movie when Thor was having his ass whooped by Hulk :/ Still i think that Superman would take'm all down ;)
Hulk has beaten Thor. Doc Strange teleported him away before he killed Thor- and Thor knew it. Everyone is always making excuses for heroes against Hulk- "If they used all their powers" or "They fought stupidly". When Thor was nearly killed by Hulk- he would have used "all his powers" to save his life. If there is bad writing- it's been with Thor- new and magical powers just keep popping up to fit his situation. As Thor was created- he and Hulk were interchangeable for the most powerful.

@Mrjguy15 The song I used for GL is "Blow Me Away" by Breaking Benjamin. It was in Halo 2, I think, which was why I picked it for the space-faring hero. The GLC are hardly Spartans, but I thought that a theme from one space marine character would work well with another.

@MayBheLyn28 Superman's strength changes with every story he's in, not because they actually fluctuate like Hulk or Gladiator, but because writers can mess around with this stuff. Even the same writer. In Action Comics by Morrison, he's pretty weak, but still really strong. Nothing compared to Morrison's All-Star Superman though, where he's certainly stronger than Hulk, Goku, Thor, or anyone else you'd want to list. I just kind of picked an average strength. I'd put him stronger if I redid it.

I cannot understand how the Silver Surfer did not make no.1 on your list. I can see having Green Lantern on the list, but not ahead of the Hulk or behind the Flash. I have to move Hulk and Black Bolt higher, I see Supes and Captain Marvel tied, (great picks by you) Wonder Woman and Spawn below them.

@conan35 Great comment Conan. I am of the firm belief that the Flashes are exactly where I want them, but everyone else, I'll definitely take your advice. Now that I've decided to forget all about Sentry, I can throw the Surfer in in his place, and probably move him up a bit. The reason he wasn't on this before is because I thought he was too strong to compare to these, working, as he does, for a planet eating Celestial fighting God stand in. Rethinking it, I might put him on. Magneto is harder.

You know, powerfull should mean a person who could do very usefull things with it's power, some like force fields and telekinesis, these can construct bridges, buildings, or a lot for cities and for the world, these 2 are just small examples, being powerfull is not being able to beat another being, but being able to do good and useful things, the flash shoudn't be in this list neither wonder woman, and having destructive powers is not being powerfull, just... destructive.

Ok, Thor doesnt belong at the top. Marvel doesnt beat supes. Superman is physically stronger, more resilient than Marvel. DC NEVER shows marvel surviving mega explosions for a reason. Hell. Second, Supes could only lift Thor's hammer after Odin gave him permission; by the end of the miniseries, he couldn't. WW admitted that Thor's hammer alone gave her more power than she ever had before. Surfer got his ass kicked by thor.

Marvel was from Fawcett comics and from a different Demnsion in the story where he first met Superman so his universes Hercules, Mercury, etc. could be more powerful than DC's. He also had Zeus power which might have added to his speed and strength as they didn't define Zeus power. Also DC's Hercules beat Wonder Woman and later stories changed it to say as strong as Hercules and fast as Mercury or Hermes as they weren't as much into male bashing as earlier stories.

@judge1618 I guess I just don't think Doctor Manhattan is a "super-hero" the way I'm defining it here. But as for the Jolly Green Giant, listen up: I don't think he's stronger than Thor. The truth is, Hulk's power levels fluctuate wildly, and I'm going for some kind of medium range here of how strong he usually might be. I think that at normal, non-Ultra-pissed levels, Hulk is weaker than Thor. That said, IF I make another one, I'll put him higher. BUT I'll only make another one if people ASK.

@KojiTsunami Thor is number one because of the Godblast that once beat Galactus, the ability to increase his strength by ten with Warrior Madness, and everything that he just did in his battles with Glory during the Chaos War. Hulk and Superman fanboys never recognize those powers. However, if Sentry TRULY had the power of a million exploding suns, I don't know if Thor could beat him. I am a Thor fan. But, I am not like Superman and Hulk fanboys. I admit and recognize other hero's abilties.

@KojiTsunami It all depends if you take HULK himself or Banner + Hulk. Banner + Hulk is kind of weak. Hulk alone is in the top 10 most powerful beings in the marvel universe; capable of rising his power level to one of a celestial (AKA capable of destroying the universe). Hulk alone = Permanent linearly increase of rage with no stopping the increase.

All the things that make Hulk cool, (for example, his compassion, loyalty and protectiveness as Savage Hulk, his craftiness as Joe Fixit, his righteous fury as the Green Scar, his EVERYTHING as the Merged Hulk) come from Banner. Also, consider that without Banner's influence, Hulk isn't a super-hero so much as a rage machine. And therefore, not eligible.

It's been long established that Thor has been holding back against mortals for fear that his godly power makes him too strong and thus too lethal for Earthlings. Furthermore, Thor has beaten Hulk, even when Zeus temporarily blocked most of Thor's power and Thor had only one arm! He actually KILLED the Hulk. Now that he has the Odinforce, almost no one (including Thanos, Galactus, etc.) can even touch him.

That said, I'd definitely keep the Flash. We're talking about a man who can run fast enough to create a black hole. He's punched out Superman-level characters before. It's explicit that Superboy Prime is terrified of Kid Flash. To anyone who wants me to do a remake of this: I'm open to suggestions, but I'm keeping the Flash.

@Steve17010 Flash can do hundreds of IMP(Infinite Mass Punch) in the blink of an eye to superman, it's noted that than an IMP is the same as being hit by a white dwarf star exploding, and superman was knocked out by that happening to him, so hundreds of IMP's so quick would kill superman, and the flash wouldn't break his hand or anything because at that speed he is invulnerable to any kind of friction :)

Mjolnir was lifted by Hulk and by Wonder Woman as far as I know so don't tell such things because it seems that you're the one who don't know marvel productions. Thor can destroy sun.... Yeah and the whole universe. He's magic is worth a shit. He couldn't handle Hulk. That's a fact dude. Face the facts in comics. I think that having said so pathetic arguments like "thor is better cuz he's better and don't tell me that he's worse cuz he's better" the conversation is over.

@Urizjel It´s clear you don´t know any shit, Wonder Woman and Hulk lifted the hammer ?, you forgot Hello Kitty, Those comics were made by DC autors, It´s true everything can change but those comics as examples you put are so stupid, ridiculous, look buddy, a child can kill Superman with a simple Kryptonite-shit, it´s so simple, end of the story.

If U say that Superman needs to be only separated from sun(as if it was so easy to separate sup. from the sun) We can also assume that Thor separated from his hammer can be easily beaten by many superheroes, not only superman in that case. If comic books made by authors themselves are not a proof to U, that Sup is more powerful than Thor, there is no argument that will convince U. For me comics are the most trustworthy source of infos. And comics say "sup is stronger". no favourizing.it's a fact

@Urizjel No way dude, I don´t think so...Thor with a GODBLAST can turn Hulk into nothing, I never saw him using all his powers in old comics, otherwise that comic might have had only 2 pages. Thor has many different ways to defeat Hulk, don´t insist....Hulk has been overrated these last 10 years ridiculously.
Superman is not stronger than Thor, I told you some of his powers that can use to beat Sup, Thor is in a higher level, he possesses a hammer with cosmic powers and magic.

@Urizjel Hahaha....you don´t need to separate Superman from sun, Thor can destroy the sun so easily and Sup is already finished. Thor can use magic from his Mjolnir and Sup is out, there are many kinds of magic powers.
I see you never read Marvel comics, nobody can take or even lift the hammer, did you copy ? nobody. Thor is a much better character, one more time, compare the abilities.....

And this doesn't make himm any less stronger.I agree that thor's hammer is a powerful tool, but Hulk almost kill thor several times.He's a god?-Ok, he is. But Hercules and Ares are also gods, and they both got whooping. Sentry ripped Ares apart for ex. Beeing a god doesn't mean anything,cuz in a marvel universe gods are the same beeing as humans. They only live in parallel dimension- that's all.They are not allmighty. many earth heroes prooved that "gods" can be killed easily.That's no argument

I don't prefer superman. I like thor too. Authors don't favorize superman. He's simply made stronger than Thor. It doesn't mean that they favorize him. Look- Thor got whooping from Sentry as well. Read Avengers:Siege comics. You will see. There are simply more powerful superheroes than thor. And Your arguments are not convincing. We can always assume "what if". If we looked at things from such perspective we wouldn't get anywhere with this conversation.My mum could also kill sup with kryptonite.

@steveaventuras I see that You have a tendency to omit crucial arguments. You like thor, that's why You're defending him so much. But I will repeat once more, what also all other people in thi discussion are repeating- Thor had a really tough struggle with Hulk. He won or lost-nevermind. He almost died. Superman on the other hand had NO struggle with hulk. He beat him with only one punch.Twice. Tell me than- why do U think Sup would lose with thor? Hulk has no more resistance to magic than Sup.

I told you before, Sup and Hulk are more popular than Thor and it is obvious that they will make them win ; in order to sell comics, pure marketing.
How Thor can beat Superman :
His hammer possesses magic, it can stop time, it possesses cosmic powers, absorbs energy, creates portals to other dimensions, storms, thunders....etc.

@Urizjel Look, Superman depends on Sun-energy, Thor doesn´t depend on anything... on the contrary, he generates a GODBLAST so powerful that can destroy worlds, stars or suns in less than two seconds,
Superman is weak against magic, kryptonite, without Sun-energy he´s nothing, Thor doesn´t have this kind of mortal-weaknesses. Based on facts, Thor possesses more attributes than Sup, read the first comics of both superheroes and compare....anyway, it´s ok if you prefer Superman, I don´t care.

@Urizjel Just in case, just in case....talking about Sup vs Thor, I don´t think Sup can beat the god of thunder, Thor possesses more attributes, his magic hammer has near unlimited cosmic and mystical powers, Sup can´t deal with magic, if people think Sup is better than Thor it is just because he is more popular and they don´t know about Thor.
I like both superheroes and I also have comics of them, logically Thor is the one who has more chances to win, compare the abilities and all their powers

You know what- just take a look at 4 comic books from 1996' - "Dc vs Marvel universe" It's been done by both Marvel and Dc so it's a trustworthy source of information. Having said so, in these 4 albums: Superman defeats Hulk with one big punch(what makes him more powerful than Thor and Sentry as well). Cpt. Marvel defeats Thor- these are the most important fights. Don't argue. Just downlad them (they're generally pretty cool comics:) )

@Urizjel Hulk isn´t more powerful than Thor, read CANON COMICS (Journey into Mystery #112) (Thor #385) (Defenders #10), Thor could hold Hulk, even without his awesome magic hammer, the god of thunder humiliated the Best.
Check this out, Hulk can´t even fly, he can´t create GODBLAST so powerful that can destroy worlds easily, he can´t create portals to another dimensions, he can´t stop time.....etc

A good sign of bad writing is when you make characters so powerful that you can't match them in a fight with anyone without having them become suddenly stupid- and having the reader ask "Why don;t they just use BLANK" every panel.
Characters like Thor, Silver Surfer, Superman, Flash- have had their powers stretched to silly, ridiculous levels- and now they have to be written with excuses. It would be better if they just reset everyones powers back to how they were originally written.

Golden age superman was the weakest who at first couldnt even fly and heavy artillery wounded him. then the Modern Superman, then the actual superman, and finally the bronze age one and the king of all the silver age superman capable of moving planets and travel trough space and time, he was so powerful that they got 18 types of kryptonyte to make things even with the bad guys, superman was weaken in other comica to give enemies a chance.

Superman wasnt killed by Doomsday he beat him but died for the wounds and effort he had to make to beat him.... And even with that theres different Superman levels of powers of his different comics...

Beside, there is one old comic book from late 70s in which Superman faces Hulk. Hulk survives for about 2-3 minutes. He manages to punch Superman merely once. and then he's quickly overpowered by him. So here we have another proof that Sup is stronger than Hulk and Thor and so propably- than Sentry as well.

I must admit that I always imagined myself that Thor, the god and son of Odin himself shall be more powerful than hulk-human chemically and genetically tranformed into something stronger. God vs human? c'mon. Thor should win. But as it seems, the creators try ro prove recently that their strength is at least equal. And yeah- it was really sad as i was watching last avengers movie when Thor was having his ass whooped by Hulk :/ Still i think that Superman would take'm all down ;)

Hulk has beaten Thor. Doc Strange teleported him away before he killed Thor- and Thor knew it. Everyone is always making excuses for heroes against Hulk- "If they used all their powers" or "They fought stupidly". When Thor was nearly killed by Hulk- he would have used "all his powers" to save his life. If there is bad writing- it's been with Thor- new and magical powers just keep popping up to fit his situation. As Thor was created- he and Hulk were interchangeable for the most powerful.
