  • That's smart, using the bible for burning material.

  • question, why do you bring a bible? I mean no disrespect I'm just curious why you bring one. I have one in my bug out bag for bartering or to kill bordom, or even control loads of people like Book of Eli.

  • maybe you could save space and weight by making your own spare tent pegs when you need them but thats just maybe if the ground is to solid pay no attention to my comment.

  • love your bible

  • hippie doodie grab handle! sweet

  • If are going to attach a sleeping bag to the bottom of the bag you should put the sleep bag there

  • i love this pack. one design flaw i noticed was when hiking long distances with it though is the water in the bladder warming up from being so close to your body. did you have this problem?

  • The only thing I don't like about the Maxpedition packs and similar is the flat back. A contoured back that keeps the air circulating helps me to not be so sweaty in 40ºc weather. I wish Maxpedition made a 5000ci external frame pack. I would buy that in a heart beat.

  • @XCritonX I second the external frame pack made by maxpedition. Only problem with them would be finding them in stock!

  • Great Review video,Thanks!

  • wipe your butt with pision ivy!!!! lol

    thats horrible!!!

  • A bible? for fire making? good job!

  • Where's the sleeping bag? And cloths? 3 days with no change of cloths or bag to sleep in. That's roughing it :)

  • Thanks Kev!

    Great video

  • sweet sunglasses

  • you could have saved alot of room by attaching your tent to the external compression straps on the bottom great vid

  • But then where would you put a sleeping bag?

  • I love these packs. I went to Montana and camped up on top of Castle Butte with a good friend of mine. He was making fun of my falcon 2 with my zippers. Long story short, the day we left his wife was asking the brand of my pack because he liked it and his birthday was coming up. Funny how you get addicted to these packs. If I didn't have a barely used Kelty, I'd be picking this reviewed pack up fast.

  • So.....wait...you own a Vulture II....yet would purchase one if you didn't already have a Kelty...which is it?

  • I have a Falcon 2, not the vulture. The Falcon is more of a day pack, as my Kelty will take me out for a few days like the Vulture. I may not have made that clear enough in my post.

  • in all your many videos you have never preached to us!! i wan't to thank you for that!!! most of you viewers i think have the same opinion of our government but religion is a very divisive topic!! when most people pull out their bible they tend to wave it around!! i really respect you for not doing that!!!!! great video as always!!

  • I think we would have taken PB&J and saved the MRE's for TEOTWAWKI.

  • I think this is why he only packed a 3 day pack... and still had tons of room in the bag. I dont think hes camping to demonstrate TEOTWAWKI but I have the thought that he is well prepared for it!

  • how in the heck are you affording pack after pack? I sure hope they are giving you these, cause if not, I bet Kristy is bout to kill u!

    TJ is a funny guy

  • Thanks for taking the time to review this pack. Great stuff!

  • If the opening for the hydration tube to come out of has a little Cord hoop on it, why don't you hang your Hydration Reservoir of it? Well, if its a Camel Back you can 'cos they have a hook on them

  • Thanks for this, I'm off on a wild camp and will probably buy one of these when I go for one or two nights camping!

  • I was watching this review thinking, "oh, this looks like a pretty nice bag this, I'm quite interested in it" I went on the heinnie haynes website to have a look.... nearly £150, £150 FUCKING QUID, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, I know this kit is supposed to be very well made and hard wearing, but that is fucking ridiculous, and its only 46 Liters!!

  • I understand where your comming from but if your life depindson it then you'd better bet it can take the punishment. I personaly have been very well served by my medium Alice pack. As soon as funds permit i'll get a Max pack. IF your just wanting a pack for milsim games then you'd probably be better off just getting a cheep UTG pack, but be warned they are in no way compairable.

  • Yeah, I've calmed down a bit now and I've been thinking about it, I am buying a Fallkniven F1 soon, and it's around £100, and my parents didn't want me to get one solely on the fact that its "£100 for one Knife!!!" And my argument was that "I'm going to make it last years of hard-use, and it will out-live its price tag" and I suppose that would be the case when investing the money in a pack like this. Also, I found it for just over £120 as well, so that's good, I might get it for xmas

  • i know thats why most go cheap and get an alice pack. got me a medium alice with frame, straps, and kidney pad belt for 17 bucks. works both on the trail and in the wallet.

  • You love that Maxpedition gear, don't ya? I've seen you use a lot of it in these videos. It seems like pretty good stuff. I may have to try some of it out. Thanks for the review.

  • excellent review..as always- 5*

    I'm looking for a reliable & effective solar/dynamo lantern..something for power outages/emergencies/etc..

has to be grid free & family sized..any suggestions??

most of the products I see are less than appealing.

maybe you could do a vid on this subject?

  • You can hear that the canvas and zippers are sturdy.

I carry a chair too. My back gets tired and I want to sit some times. I also just makes a nice place to put stuff besides the ground.

  • Maxpedition Gear is awesome, I've had a Condor 2 for a couple of years and it is bullet proof. Yes they are expensive but the quality is there and they will last.

  • ...a camo bible? DO WANT!

  • dig..

i love your reviews, ive been lookin for a good pack, and the internet only provides a pic... not quite the "hands on" shopping experience, but things like this help. thanks

  • where do you get your mre's from? ebay?

they look like recent us military mre's

  • Isn't it illegal to sell military MRE's? That's what I heard.

  • It's illegal for people in the military to sell off their MRE's, because they are government property.

Although, I have heard that much of the "surplus" MRE's available to the public have been stolen from government warehouses.

  • most of the ones you can get online are cheap knock offs of very poor quality

  • Do you prefer Maxpedition backpacks and gear or ALLICE backpacks?

  • thorough review...

please try to get hold of some 'kifaru' gear. it's very expensive but spec ops guys love it.

  • "cause its no fun wiping your butt with poison ivy" does that sentence come from experience kevin?

  • I have it and I love it. Although the bladder pack zipper did break within about 3 months, and I barley used it. I sent it back and they repaired it for free.

  • Five Stars!!
