You might not believe me Ron,I am applying your 300 yards+ swing to every clubs in my bags, from 5i to sand wedge and it works, bravo you are a great Teacher.I getting good draws with that swing on all my shots. Thanks
It is so true and also It should be called a forward swing and not a down swing. This is why most players try to pull down their arms and the club and never find the right side. Power and plane comes from right side. Left is just a connection between the body and the club.
This is super helpful. I use a few of these tips and they have helped me a lot. This video is really well done thanks for sharing it. Everyone should take note of these tips!
I found some other great tips for driving check them out in my profile!
gotten up on 40 golf lessons over few yrs but nobody sorted my golf out more than this guy, suffered constantly from a horrific slice but the early head movement drill along with passive hands drill has got me playing most enjoyable golf of my life
@theusedish From the looks of your profile page you're just on Fucked up Fucker that has nothing better to do than comment on fucking golf videos all day because you got no life you fucker, go burn in hell.
Talking about Golf grips, When you pick up a golf club your hands are the only part of your body that touch the club. For many years the hands (grip) have often been referred to as the steering wheel of the golf swing. I don’t believe this could be more true. Gripping the golf club correctly makes playing this game a much better experience. w w w (dot) golferbreak80 (dot) c0m
this works well with wedges and short irons and makes chipping much more accurate for me, but if i try and be this passive even with a 6 iron, i loose about half the distance!
Good tip but I wish you actually turned on the backswing and created more width bcuz that's really important. In the vid it looks like you are picking the club up and taking it back. I know that you are trying to illustrate a point but some folks won't know the difference and do the exact same thing. This is a great tip. If I had known this a while back I would have had a more consistent swing. Thanks!
he's not casting bcuz that happens when you start the downswing with the shoulders. His focus is getting people away from casting bcuz they want to swat at the ball. Drop da arms first to waist level then turn using the shoulders not the hands and you will have perfect inside-out swing and never cast the club. It looks like he cast in the demo because he didn't talk about mainting the angle in the downswing.Find a vid on that & da release in addition to watching this, you have the complete swing
hi rdb i love your tips they have helped me a lot, but i have a problem. when i get the club up and turn 70% of the time my club face is open and the ball goes flying to the right. what can i consentrate on to keep that club head straight
I think your problem is you do not turn your shoulders enough, and hence generate a fade/slice; try concentrating on moving your shoulders after your thumbs up movement, after hinging your wrists.
Thanks for the comment and as far as your question, of course there can be several things that could cause your clubface to be open through the hitting area but one position you can check right out of the gate is what your hand and arms are doing in the transition. In other words, if the beginning of your downswing is at all quick, the chance of your hands and arms out racing your body back to the ball is almost a guarentee. Try a few slow swing and see if you can feel a lag in
the transition by leaving the club as far behind you as you can and feel as if you are turning into your left arm with your chest. Drop me a line via this web site and let me know if that helps!
really like ron's teaching style and his method makes sense. However, would be great to see some shots with this method down the line of the shot (and see what kind of shape shot is being hit).
This guy got me to shoot in the 70's on tough course pretty consistently! I takes definite drilling but after about 3 months I would think of the ball and target and how I wanted it to get there as opposed to thinking about my swing. Every once in a big while I'll go to him for a refresher, but that's it. Great method. I was a 15 before btw.
lee trevino made a comment about why he took awesome divots on a champions tour thing... he said the course he grew up playing and caddying on had really firm clay dirt fairways so the only way to get the ball in the air was to hit down on it... pretty much just like the guy in the video described... and then its just as easy.
its not like easy but I woul say its all about what you learn and what you practice you know. like, with my irons and even short Iron I do a divit but I dont try to do it, its in my swing.
From the top off the swing..Do you rotate the head, shoulders hips legs and feet toward the target, all together, while allowing the hands to just follow, or do you drop the hands and then turn your whole body through? Does the head rotating toward the target automatically shift my weight to my left side? Also, i tried rotating my head on the downswing and I tend to pull the ball. I know my spine angle is staying constant but I still get a pull.Your comments are appreciated.
Great Vids. They have helps me alot! I tend to take a large divit sometimes and could that be caused by me over squating or bending at the knees? Or not rotating up right side enough?
terrible advice. unless you plan on pulling the ball all day long.

Wow. This was posted forever ago and no one replied. Haha. Well, I'll do it:P
One reason could be is that the forward press you have at address is too great. That's what it is for me, so it might be the same with you.
