  • are all these trucks in the same weight class most all gas trucks are allowed between 6200# and 6500# were the diesels are allowed 8000# that,s a huge advantage to the cat truck if he has more weight on the nose than the others

  • show those gassers how its done

  • i <3 America

  • @mpaoness i dont think the power curve is the same on highly modified diesels like that one, that thing revs to over 6k

  • purple s-10 kicked ass!

  • Get Evangelical... Yea right like that will ever happen

  • 2:54 if u just wanna watch ohio cat dominate again

  • i bet alot of them are hemi's!!

  • Man that sled was putting the hammer to them about the 260 foot mark

  • Man that sled was putting the hammer to them about the 248 foot mark

  • @mpaoness youre fuckin a diesel dork

  • wow love the monster diesel at 3:00 :)

  • .... i like the cat ford but come on one diesel vs a bunch of gas trucks they are 2 completly different leuges

  • in the discription it says 283 but its 282

  • @jp631989 Well, diesels can reach their peak hp at MUCH lower rpms due to the high compresion and heavy fuel. So, the faster you reach peak power, the longer you can pull the weight and induce inertia more quickly... This way the engine does not have to do all the work at the end of the pull since the weighs are already traveling at speed and pushing towards the truck, not just downwards

  • @RFTAEC100 NOT really, think about it, the Diesels are Turbocharged which needs RPMs/air to keep moving, in other words without the high RPMs or speed on the truck the lower the HP would be. I guess what I'm saying is on the alcohol powered trucks they can reach their max torque at a lower RPM due to not using Turbochargers, but instead using Blowers which force air into the pistons at all times not just when the turbo is forcing it in. Also with Diesels you can't finesse your way down track

  • @shadowmaster1975 to get that bouncing out, it's either you go or you don't go, which can be an advantage to the alcohol burners. All in all it could be a wash, but if you find a good running Diesel that is set up right it will win probably 75-80% of the time vs an alcohol burner.

  • 6cyl 5.9L wins versus a crowd of huge gas engines

  • Bounty Hunter... More like Bounce Hunter

  • let me ask you guys, what could be the outcome if the engineers of CUMMINS AND POWERSTROKE work together? just a question, what if? ................. How I wish it would happen :))

  • @jayblitz21 both are damn near unstoppable....so you'd just have a bigger cummins with the intake that looks like a ford mustangs

  • unless these trucks are twin charged... why do they have a supercharger on them? they high rpm engines so why wouldnt a turbo be used?

  • @TheHAZMATSQUAD... the medium duty and heavy duty lines of ford had a few Cummins in there along with IH, Cat and a lot of Detroits Ford hasn't nor probably won't put a Cummins in the 250 or 350's because...(wait for it!) they do own stock in Cummins ...henceforth every time a Dodge with a buzzin half dozen hummin Cummins rolls out...BINGO!... thats a dividend check in Ford's pocket True Stuff... have an uncle in Ford Leasing... he's settled the arguement many times

  • @6sakMUDslinger You are badly mistaken...and about a great many things.

  • you can buy a Ford with a Cummins or a cat or a powerstroker in them now. but cat does not make truck engines anymore because of the fuel emissions or something like that. if you have a big diesel engine you need a ford body because they make a strong fully boxed frame. i would take a junk toyota over a good chevy any day, but they never did make a good chevy

  • @TheHAZMATSQUAD wrong

  • I was thinking it would be kinda cool to put one of the ford big block v8 pulling engines in a ford Maverick, I think some of them are up to 640 ci.

  • @NathansBackwoods How would that make a Maverick cool?

  • @NeilLB7, it just would

  • Lol the ford just blows.

  • @NissanTy yup lol but it was neat

  • ford owns cummins

  • @vptony ummm no they don't and they never did own Cummins. they used to own stock in the company though but they do not now. Cummins is an independent company.

  • listen to that girl lobe ate 2:20

  • when they stop, does the trany give out ar what?

  • i agree with markification- i love that truck but its so weird that they have a ford body w/cummins sponsored by cat. lol

  • @Captainredneckdiesel well cummins has the best motor, ford has the best, and best looking body. and well CAT is just badass.

  • only in America..

  • because the guy love ford body style

  • good video, lots of good pulls

  • it doesn't seem fair to allow a diesel to pull in the competition.......

  • @mstep3 hey yea that may be true but as far as i can tell none of them were hooking worth shit. oh yea by the way thoes blowed engines have the same amount of torque as the cummins boys.

  • yup billet block/rods/crank lol 70k into the motor alone, its got a sigma injection pump(15k alone lol)

  • i wish i had a truck with 1900 hp and 3700 ft lbs of torque

  • that sled looks Super Heavy

  • I love the Ohio Cat truck but man are they confused

    Ford body

    Cummins based engine

    Sponsored by Caterpillar

  • Lmfao...true that X100000000 haha

  • @markification sounds like a cat

  • @markification you get the best of all worlds? O.o

  • @markification rite truck every time i go to the pulls but hell ya they are haha

  • @markification Hey at least there is no dodge involved

  • that ohio cat was a sick truck, can't beat the power of a cummins, now if only the production fords had cummins in them...

  • I'd take a dt466 over a cummins...

  • @NissanTy in the mid 80's for like 2 years the f450 did. i just found that out about a week ago. they had the 5.9's

  • @italiankid1119 hmmm never knew that, i bet that would be a rare truck to find tho! i thought the early model superduties had the 7.3 idi diesel.

  • @NissanTy ya ive seen one in my life and the guy wanted $5k for it completely rotted out.

  • @NissanTy that will the day, ford is workin the cummins technology into it though they own 15%

  • @NissanTy only thing cummins in that engine is the crank, everything else including the block is custom

  • @NissanTy Ford does incorporate cummins in their commercial vehicles.

  • out of all the videos I have ever seen since the mid 80's and live of 4wd modifieds, i have never seen ANY with power adders! this is the first time. i always wonder what would happen if they did put power adders on them...guess I kno now! dig a dam hole in the ground! lol all the ones i have seen are N/A on alchohol. I saw one with race gae and nirous...maybe this was the class they compete in??? cool video!

  • its got a 24valve head, read it in diesel power magazine.....and its pushing more like 2000hp

  • @DS650POWER

along with a billet aluminum block

  • the for is not a powerstroke its a 12v cummins baseed outta michigan with haisly machineing about 1500 horse

  • its not the 24v block, they made it out of billet aluminum

  • its a 08 powerstroke body, i dont know if its steel for fiberglass, but it is DEFInately not a powerstroke motor lmao.

its a 24valve cummins head, ontop of a billet block based off a cummin block. makes around 2000hp

  • 12 valve cummins ...not 24 vavle....cory atley use to have a old cummins dually pull truck called " how do you like me now " an he just took the motor built it bigger an put it in this truck so its a 1800hp + 12 valve cummins

  • nothing in the motor is cat, cat is just a sponsor. its a 24valve based motor with billet block....

  • thats a powerstroke ford

  • Great video! One of the best I've seen on the tube.

  • 3:05, what a beautiful truck... Amazing pull

  • Imagine that? All spanked by the diesel!!

  • Great video. I wish all truck and tractor pull videos were edited this good. That just got me pumped up for fair season!!! Yay!

  • of coarse diesel killed all the gas, as usual

  • ... if that diesel didn't have a weight and wheelbase advantage those supercharged trucks would've spanked him seeing how they easily have 400+ hp on him.

  • Truck pulls isn't all about horsepower it's mostly about torque.

  • hard for you to admit diesel is a better puller than gas or alcohol

  • Comment removed

  • HP doesnt mean anything unless you get it to the ground.

  • who cares who won or what kinda stinkin pump it had. j watching all that wide open HP stretching its legs for everything it could brings a tear to my eye n goosebumps on my arms. fucking awesome!

  • that yellow truck is prett sweet

  • i love a ohio cat

  • my favorite is the fantasty

  • Ahh open headers

  • not sure i would call 8 feet a blowout...

  • wow ... that diesel super stock whooped those super mods bad ... lol!

    Good stuff

  • Naturally, and it's powered by a p-pumped Cummins :D

  • Not a p-pump, It has a Sigma Pump on it.

  • a sigma is still a p-pump

  • why would it be powered by a cummins if the name is Ohio CAT and theres a CAT emblem on its side?? thought the cummins would murder that fuckin CAT.

  • lol sry no chance that the cummins would kill the cat

  • its actually powered by a cummins in a sense. It has a aluminum block machined out to a 5.9 cummins specs. no cat under the hood.

  • it is powered by a cat

i have seen the block with my own eyes and it is a cat

  • its powered by a cat huh? are ya sure on that because im prettty damn sure its powered by a custom solid billet mill based on a cummins milled by woodruff, but you know know bud go ahead and reply back saying its not so i can throw every spec on the engine at ya

  • parts of the motor are cat

i didnt really mean the block i men t that cat pays for alot of the things he brAkes or ads on

  • wrong, there right its a cummins, its featured in diesel power mag, buillet 5.9

  • bc a sponsors a sponsor, 5.9 cummins buillit block, feautured in diesel power mag ;-D, cummins got the power

  • thats a diesel modified not super stock

  • yea super stock is the same thing. rwybpuller reading your post on this video makes me think that truthfully you are another fake that knows nothing about sled pulling.

  • ya then y do i pull a 1948 ford in the rwyb class and then y was i in bowling green this weekend?
