Amusing comments. Nick Cave is hipster stuff now. I thought he was a Goth. Before that a punk. Fads come and go, but he still endures and reinvents himself. Of course this is not as good a song as the Hendrix version, but it's an entirely different song. Cave brings the horror of theme to light in a way that Hendrix does not. Yes, the startling music is lost...but this version gives us the horrific, stripped down version of a guy killing his wife. Check out Long Time Man.
