  • It is played through a (Pre-Peavey) Budda Superdrive 80 2x12" combo - in "clean"-mode

  • Pre-Peavey does mean that now Budda Amps are assembled by Peavey or something? I didn't know about that

  • Well, now they are.... the company was sold to Peavey.

  • I see... i hope that inspite of it they maintain its quality and sound. Thanks for your respond

  • What amp are you using? The combination sounds really good. Thank you

  • ill buy it

  • Øystein Greni really knows how to play this beautiful guitar. I bought my Gibson LP 57' VOS at the guitar workshop, and I'm really satisfied. Keep up the good work guitar workshop! I support you guys 100%. Greetings from Elverum!!

  • I love the $18,400 price tag on the Fender in the background.

  • Hehe, that is Norwegian Kroner, not US Dollars... This equals US$ 2500,-

  • Ohhh

    Alright, seems resonable now.

  • Yes, it is for sale.. About 42500 US$

  • its on bad conditions 42,500 WTF? kill my ass i found 12,000 on ebay go hell!!!!

  • Well you should buy that ebay special then, cause any les paul from year one to 55 is way above 40 mark.

  • the paint is scratched. not always a main factor in buying a guitar in my opinion.

he clearly states the fretboard is clean and original.

  • Comment removed

  • holy shit squats thats the best sounding les paul iv heard .....anyone who has this guitar contact me i wann buy it

  • it looks as if your holding a classic rare cadilac in your hands thats somthing i would never let go of she shoure is pertty to look at

  • those are those p90 soap bar pick ups ain't they

  • You are absolutely right!

  • The neck and back sure look like an old refin.. That gold ain't right, and the neck flaking looks like the result of water damage....

  • you can tell the neck was a shitty paintjob of like real gold color lol i had a 90 gibson lp studio and its was beat to shit when i meen beat to shit the head stock looked like it was 100 yrs old but i dident have any flakin on it...this goldtop looks like it was in a moist basement for 20 yrs

  • well, this guitar is absolutely not a refin, the only thing not original on this is a volume knob. Even the frets are original, beleive it or not.

  • sweet sound

  • Who's the guy playing-does he have any youtube videos out of him playing? He's a great player, and would love to hear more of him.

  • Øystein Greni, guitarist and singer in Bigbang, one of Norways biggest rock acts. Plenty of vids here on youtube.

  • Comment removed

  • His name is Øystein Greni from the norwegian band BigBang. They just released a new album, check em out!

  • wow exspensive holy ass cracker

  • jepp its øystein grini from bigbang.. you have to see these guys LIVE!!!!!!

  • PLEASE IS IT STILL ON AUCTION?!

  • Yes, indeed

  • Why Is All The Paint Chipped Off??Nice Guitar Though....How Much Are You Selling It For??

  • About 42500 US$

  • Seems like you are way too high - I just saw a 1952 in much better condition for $20,000. Is there a particular reason why yours is so high?

  • A '52has the trapeze tailpiece... a little more difficult to handle, but you might find the all gold ones here and there. I guess this one would sell for 40-45000 US. It plays and sounds really amazing. And, of course, I've seen quite a few for higher prices than that.... But, if you are interested, make a bid, and I'll pass it to the owner.

  • a 1952 is the first les paul year. it has a trapeze tailpiece and a shallower neck angle. the strings are not wrapped over the bridge therefore it is difficult to mute the tone. it was a design which had to be improved which happened in 1953 with the stop tailpiece which you can see on this 1954. the neck angle was also changed and therefore also the top carve. so this 1954 can not be compared with 1952 whch has a lower value.

  • Sure am!

Peace and love to you mr. Bigsby!

(speaking of which, how is that coming along?)

  • I want that guitar! Great playing man, great tone.. how much is it?

  • Wow, this is over double the current selling price of a 54/55 wrap tail. Ebay item #380062718875 stayed on for 3 weeks before finally selling at $24,000. Go check it out for yourself. There have been several, nice, no issue '54 or '55's sell for well under $30k lately and quite a few others available for $30k or under. $55k was the high retail price of a near mint all gold wrap tail about two years ago before the guitar market completely crashed.

  • I'm aware of the high pricing due to the dollar... this guy bought the guitar in London some years ago, and paid 25.000 British Pounds for it back then. If I convert the price in Norwegian Kroner today, and deduct our tax, it turns out to be around 40k US$. And of course, our rockstar here will be open to offers. I'll pass this on to him, and he's probably aware of the market... he's got a house in LA too, and has probably good connection with some of the guys on Sunset.

  • Cool, I was just passing on the info for the sake of accuracy for those who made comments about value. If you feel my comment hurts the chances of a sale, feel free to delete it. Nice video....

  • Hehe, we make our living from more regular instruments anyway... and the pleasure having all these great instruments visiting helps feeding our serenity. By the way, this is the most lightweight LP I've ever played. And the fretwire they used in 54 must be magic. This one still has original frets!

  • amazing guitar. you guys are lucky to have played one of those

  • Well, this guy happens to be one of Norways greatest guitarists, just check out his band Bigbang myspace.. /smallbang or iTunes; their album Frontside Rock'n'Roll is particularly great!(Well aren't they all actually?) The guitar is actually his own, he had two Goldtops, and apperently sold both. The store he is playing the play to buy vintage guitars in Norway, Guitar Workshop!

  • you want 70,000 I'm sure?

  • Hmm... well, we've priced it for NOK 300.000, I guess that will be about 55.000 US$

  • That is a good price. My father left me his 1954 and I had it priced at about that much. It is very similar to that model.

  • Now that is a beautiful instrument and you showed it off to its' very best! You've got a great style going on here ... 5*

  • The one playing is lead guitarist and lead singer in the Norwegian band BigBang.

  • cathrineholm: Hello Cathrine - thank you for letting me know! Enjoy your weekend! Love and peace to you all in Norway.
