  • Even talents of this magnitude make mistakes. It's fun to watch them laugh at theirs.

  • Waht a lineup, Linda and Nitty Gtritty Dirt band. AND whata fantastic sound, Thanks for posting

  • A great singer and beauty teamed up and having fun with a great band on a great old Hank tune. What more could you ask for?

  • Linda is great, I have always loved the dirt band,, met them once at a very small venue (maybe 200 people) supper nice guys, they all signed the back of my 64 reissue Strat. Only concern they had was if I was going to sell it, like that is going to happen.

  • No way who sings it... this song is a killer !!

  • This is from the old Don Kirshner Rock Concert Shows. I remember watching this when I was a kid! My parents let me stay up "late" when it was on! Saw many good performances - including this one! LOVE Ronstadt & the NGDB!!

  • showing hardly any flesh shes So much sexier than todays half naked writhing biatches , pure sex on legs

  • Let's not forget to give credit to the songwriter, Hank Williams!

  • So the lead singer was married to Linda Ronstadt? Lucky bastard!

  • @samcashmooney no Linda has never been married

  • Great voices. They melt together like butter in an iron skillet. Fun to see John play the guitar like a lap steel. And of course, the fiddle of Vassar Clements is always a joy to hear and see.

  • Thanks for posting this-----I remembered that intro, was glad to see the performance was as good as I remembered.

  • Linda Ronstadt's ass is exquisite

  • Linda was definitely an 'IT' girl of the 70's

  • Happy wife, happy life. Always good to check with the other half to see if you can sing a song with Linda R....yikes. He couldn't even get a reach around with all those people watching.lol....It kinda looked like Linda was trying to get him in shizzle with the eye contact and knowing his wife would prolly say something....I wonder if wifey was at rehearsal and saw Linda and him doing the eye thingy.

  • @yesihavenocigarettes Yeah, I thought that too. She's hard to resist. I'm sure she made lots of wives jealous back then.

  • Thanks for sharing that trick... go to rippify [dot] com to download mp3s from youtube!

  • BRAVO, LIKE ALWAYS!!! ANGEL

  • What a classic!!!

  • Vasser on fiddle ,,,hot damn..

  • @hamnhock Exactly!

  • Talk about conservation of motion, she's barely moving and it makes me crazy.

  • Wow,get the hound dog, so re neck

  • I cannot remember the group that sang the late 60s ditty, 'You Can All Get Some'

  • Hank Williams made Hey Good Lookin' a classic.

    This version is good too.

    Thanks for posting it.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Any guesses as to the circa of this one? It sure isn't "December 18, 2007."

  • I'd say '69 - 72. The Nitties were from Long Beach, Cal, and went from folk-rock (Buy For Me The Rain) to total country (Will the Circle Be Unbroken) somewhere about that time. Linda had left the Stone Poneys behind and lots of rockers were getting into country due to the influence of the Buffalo Springfield who blazed that particular trail. I had forgotten that she ever appeared with the Nitties at all. I'm getting old, but at least the music is immortal.

  • 5*****!!

    Jennie.

  • So good to Linda really smile! Thanks.

  • I know the pad in HB they were trashing

  • Vassar!

  • They had a pad in HB, played at the Golden Bear, wonder if she ventured behind Orange Curtain...

  • If i recall, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band had a top ten hit in 1980 with "American Dream" - where Linda did guest vocals....good song.

  • Thanks.

    Love that gal.

  • ohhh they are so adorable!!!!!! Love the way they interpreted!!! aWeSomE!!

  • WOW great rendition of a supertune from the best country rock record ever, Symphonion Dream by the NGDB, the Sgt.Peppers of country rock, no less. Funny the way Linda & Jim disguised the mistakes when singing some parts. Far far away beautiful days.

  • Wow, this is so cool!

  • Is that Dickie Betts on the Les Paul,I understand he was friends with Vasser ?

  • no,it's their own Jeff Hanna.

  • Thanks for sharing great video!

  • hey maybe rename this so that it can be found from a search

  • This is one of the best Country songs of all time . All credits to Good old Hank but Linda Ronstadt and Nitty Gritty Dirt band does very good to .

  • NGDB..the greatest modern country band.. but Vassar as great a player as he was, somehow never looked a part of the team. Will the Circle be Unbroken is an all-time classic

  • great video.

  • I've had the audio of this on an old Ronstadt vinyl bootleg for years and never knew who the band was! Now I know!

  • Vasser Clemens--the Earl Scruggs of the fiddle!!

  • john mcuen is on steel guitar, is that vassar clements on fiddle?

  • Hey, that fiddle player is Vasar Clements!!

He played with them on the "Will the Circle Be Unbroken Album !!

  • There is now a brand new 6-CD box set of "Will The Circle Be Unbroken?" Many stars appear as guests, including Roy Acuff, Ernest Tubb, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, even John Denver. The sixth CD is a wonderful DVD celebrating the third installment of "Circle." It is a MUST HAVE for the serious bluegrass enthusiast.

  • Linda is smokin baby!.....White Hot Sex Appeal!....Yummy...

  • I like the way audience laughs. Don't see that often.

  • This one really makes me smile. Thanks...

  • thank you julian; you are a great fan, and I, as another great fan, appreciate all that you do!!!

  • I have this one as an mp3, and have looked to find the clip for years - thank you for putting it up! The mp3 says it's Linda with J.D Souther (which may be incorrect) but it would explain his opening comment. Does anyone know if this is him in the clip with her?

  • Hi BadShami

The male lead singer is Jimmy Ibbotson from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

    Ally.

  • Thank you! Long time mystery solved for me. :)Two have confirmed that now, & I'll rename that mp3 correctly.

  • Have a look at my channel, I have a Jimmy Ibbotson/NGDB song posted you can see it is the same person. Also put Jimmy Ibbotson into the youtube search box and you will find more from him. Ally.
