You reviewed a DC Christmas Special? Come on guys, was it worth wasting time on it? It is a tradition of DC's to do these. They have always been lame. So don't get it!!! You guys find every reason to slam DC and what they do. Would you prefer an entire line of comics where you create drama by developing new ways for Norman Osborne to ruin everyone's life not just Peter Parker's. Or here's an idea, a Wolverine 1-shot? Or a mysterious RED Hulk? A Skrull Invasion? These are the good ideas.

The High Rez version of the show is excellent. Alex's apartment doesn't look quite so stuffy anymore. I think that has more to do with lighting, but the HD stuff works well, here. I also sort of like the bookends, to a point. When it steps on people's lines, it gets really annoying. Good episode, though.

firstly that new intro music thing is stupid. secondly i have some quick capsule reviews of a couple comics u guys havent gotten to yet. the third issue in the new spawn arc, WHERE THE FUCK IS SPAWN. umbrella academy dallas issue two:um we know what everyones been doin and now here are some answers about those dudes five fucked up in the first arc, awesome completely awesome.

Great intro theme, & all props due to the Redoubtable Justin. Are any of you familiar with the 2000AD "CRISIS" series from the 80s? It was THE BEST political comic i know of, and incredible just on an artistic level. It seems to me the Reagan/Thatcher conservative offensive helped inspire masterpieces like Elektra: Assassin, V4Vendetta, Watchmen, & DKnight. Besides DMZ, do you see our times being captured in any recent/current works at such a high aesthetic level? Any faves or recommendations?

You should check out the new spirit comics XD i've got the last three issues and they're quite funny. with hot girls too. BUT i don't think it's going to be anything like the movie.

Its not a bad idea, just bad execution.

Some fun stories that don't include murder, rape or gore from DC would be a relief and the old DC holiday stories from the 80's were great, its just this DCU holiday special is badly written....perhaps the dc writers have forgotten how to write positive fun stories?

Merry Christmas guys! I received the DCU Holiday issue in a stocking this morning as a surprise. It was enjoyable, moreso that I didn't pay for it. It took the sting out of some of the stories knowing it was a gift given with love.

thank you for reviewing Buffy S8 finally! I knew going in that this issue wouldn't have much if any relevance and was wary of Loeb's tinkering with BS8, but i was pleasently surprised and there were quite a few cute moments and Buffy's realization that life before wasn't any easier than it is now for them even though things seem really bad....

p.s. why didn't you get the Jo Chen cover? her artwork is gorgeous!
