HootSuite Beginners Tutorial

Hi Great video! I shared on my page. On my HootSuite Twitter account, I can't see the bottom bar where you click People, Stream, Stats, etc... I have a basic pro account. Can you help with that?

Currently i post to Facebook, which in turns posts to my Twitter account. Does this program do that?....Or not? ....Thanx Benjamin, great tut! :)

@uofawildcat48 Yes this program will post to what ever platform you have attached to your hootsuite account. The beauty of HootSuite is that it allows you to pick what platforms to push to. It is really not meant for every time you push out a tweet or facebook status that it copies it on all the platforms. You are already using the features to accomplish that goal. But if you are looking for more specific control... HootSuite is your tool. Let me know if this answered your question?

@benjaminbachman ...Yes, that answered my question..But, now i have another one...It may be a stupid question but, i'm gonna ask anyhow..lol....When i went to post a tweet in HootSuite, it said that i needed to choose which site i was using. but, it did not give me that option...Where do i find it when i'm composing a tweet?....hope that makes sense?...lol

@uofawildcat48 the concept is that you choose what accounts you want to post to with each post. You can choose Facebook and Twitter at the same time if you would like. I find this more useful than just "copying" my Facebook posts to twitter.

@jasonreaveslone I think it is more about what feature sets you need. I find that TweetDeck is a great tool for the average user and the interface is great! I have used this tool in the past as well. I find the strength of HootSuite is that it manages all platforms and allows for some super complex feature sets. Like pushing blog posts to my social media accounts, mass scheduling social media messages and many more. So I think both tool sets have there place on the market.

I really do like this tutorial. I wonder if you could help me with a problem I am having. I inadvertently registered two email accounts with Hootsuite. I have tried everything to erase one and the system does not seem to accept it. In the meantime I cannot add my Twitter accounts. Please help. Thanks.

@TDBSheila1 This is obviously an issue that would be better served by connecting with @hootsuite. I found that hitting them up on twitter is the best way to do customer support with HootSuite

hi, great video. I have a wordpress blog and just want that the new content I add to it appears on my facebook. Ive created a hootsuite account and created both wpress and facebook profiles, but im lost now...What would be the next step? thanks a lot

Hey Hey, if you go down the bottom left side of Hootsuite and click on the "Launch" Button. When you click on that button a menu pops up and at the top of that menu is the logout button. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Hi, I've got a hootsuite account and I just wanna know why I don't have the logout button. That's a real problem when I open my hootsuite on a differente computer that's not mine.
