My first super hero movie i have ever watched and still is the best one I have ever seen. Sorry Dark Knight and Spider Man, Batman will always remain the best.
@srpedroza19, Oh, I also forgot, Ennio Morricone and Basil Poledouris. Anyways, Pawel Blazczak is a composer who works at Techland (a video game company), and did the soundtracks for the Call of Juarez Trilogy and Dead Island. And to tell you the truth the Call of Juarez music is way better than Red Dead Redemption's soundtrack (which IMO some themes sound like an amatuer trying to outdo Ennio Morricone), but Pawel's music sounds like a more authentic western for CoJ.
I don't like the lack of energy and originality in modern film scores. So undistinguished and bland. Elfman is an artist. A true genius. Zimmer is a great composer, but nowhere near the same level.
@Blassbeat yeah i am not a batman fan. i am THE Batman fan. lol. i know exactly what the adam west theme is. i grew up on that stuff, but this danny elfman theme truly represents what batman really is imo, just saying.
@david2000magic You speak the truth! I would give anything for Burton to make just one last Batman movie. I don't care what anyone says, Batman 1989 and Batman Returns were the best Batman movies. The villians were just so badass, the atmosphere was dark and sinister, Batman was a silent force not to be reckoned with and didn't have a silly voice, and the Batmoblie was fucking sexy as hell.
We are doing a stop motion animation film called Tim. The movie is a stop motion animation film that is dedicated to Tim Burton and has Sir Christopher Lee as the narrator. Search the directors name Brian Joseph Ochab to find the video.
I enjoyed the new Batman movies, but I've noticed one thing: the new movies, mostly the 2nd one, aren't very kid friendly. Batman, Batman Returns, and even the other 2 after those are way more kid friendly but still have good action and not too much violence. The Dark Knight got a lot grittier and almost drawn out in a way. Also, my 5 year old enjoys Tim Burton's Batman movies because I enjoy those the most. They're suitable for a younger crowd. I enjoyed these movies when I was 5 years old.
@Joker3797 you hit it ! that's exactly my point ! the comic style version is my type of adaptation..i don't speak for everyone else and i never will.when i comment, i say how i feel;not how others do.burton's versions were amazing.they didn't make as much as the nolan films but who cares? i've never liked movies by how much money they bring in. the new films just don't do it for me,but the shumacher films were pretty bad as well.nolan's versions are depressing and boring.burton remains king !
@kesha98654 lol they dont suck but I like both film series, they both have their own unique style, if you are looking for a great stylized adaptation of the comic, then Burton's version is for you , and if you like a Batman in the real world, then Nolan's films are for you. (Lets pretend that the Shumacher films never existed, lol.)
@xecen1000 well think about the the time period. Like Chistian Bale of the turn of the century verison of batman and Michael Keaton fitted to the 80's mold.
for all of you who hate how jack nicholson is top billed over micheal keaton, just remember: the joker was meant to be over the top and flashy, yet still creepy. batman however was meant to be dark, mysterious, and we dont know much about him. so the joker is a larger focus, while batman is more quiet. a very daring choice that tim burton should be applauded for
I wish I could go back in 1989 to see this on HBO, years later I still listen to this Danny Elfman's masterpiece by director Tim Burton, 5 stars for this Batman anthem and intro.
Let's make a petition to have this movie played in theaters again. I'd pay to see it even though I've seen this movie probably 100 times since I was 3 years old.
The thing I love about this theme is it captured the true essence of Batman - you're supposed to be scared shitless of him. Today's Batman is really boring compared to this one.
i agree. this theme replaced the goofy 60s tv theme, and batman begins (and dark knight) movie(s) aren't focused on batman but the entire movie/plot as a whole methinks
Well The Problem with the Batman today is That the director Wants Realism.. Sorry But Batman is a Comic Character his World and Gotham arent ment to Be Realistic
And some of Batman's Best Battles where Supernatural Villans
@CopyboyVideo i would not call Bale's Batman boring, but Keaton and Bale each have their own style and I like both of them, lol watching this gives me feelings of nostalgia.
I think they shouldve named the Movie "Joker" instead of Batman.Joker was basically on screen more than Batman was.Jack Nicholson comes up first before Keaton does as well in the credits.
It's a Genious World Record for sure: 6 million just for his role. I suppose there was always an interest in the villain's roles rather than Batsy during the time Burton directed. They're great alright, but they shouldn't make Batman play "second-fddle" there.
@XionicXDemon The film is like The Great Gatsby in the sense that Batman is the main character and at the end of the day it's about him but the scenes best done are the ones with another character this case being Joker. Joker is so much the focus that Batman feels like a foil even though he is still the main character
It's even worse in Batman Forever where not only is Batman on the backburner but so is the dark tormented elements of Batman and Robin in favor of the campy villains
@crimsong19 -- probably because he and/or his agent put up a fuss about it. It's the same with Gene Hackman in the first Superman movie; his name was top billing, over Christopher Reeve.
@crimsong19 i asked the same question. j. nicholson was a bigger star & a box office hit. he even got paid much more than keaton. that's the way entertainment is today.****
@crimsong19 cuz Jack was the highlight of the movie, he was the best, regardless of who he played in the movie, main character and whatever, I think more ppl liked the Joker than batman in this one
