This is actually a song written by Kieth Richards and Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones.

@PeculiarTactics Nope it wasnt. It only " samples an obscure orchestral version of "The Last Time," a 1965 song by the Rolling Stones. This was recorded before they got permission from the Stones to use the riff, so the Verve had to sign away most of the royalties from this in order to release it." Its pretty sad. The lyrics are 100% by the Verve. Yet they practically got nothing. Allen Klein(Rolling Stones' manager) made the most money from this song since he got its publishing rights.
