ive used that method with unweighted ruber worms just skipp em acros lily pads and bury the hook in the worm so the barb isnt exposed to snag anything let it sink alittle bit here and there the bass just suck the worms down great

if you have some really heavy cover somewhere in that pond/lake, try finding a open spot in the weeds, bass usualy hang around there because small baitfish gather there.

yea the reason you are not catching much bass is because your reeling too much the bass strikes on the pause and your not pausing much you should try jerk twice pause for 3-4 secs and repeat 1 or 2 jerks pause i guarantee ya catch more bass...and yea ya should only record the hits

@excons97 shit.that depends on where your fishing, how the bass are behaving where the bass are relating to and what what your trying to acheive i.e power or speed fishing, covering water. that jerk jerk pause shit is only for certain times. If you get stuck on that style you will never grow in fishing. perhaps he found that the jerk jerk pause style was not as effective that day. you garantee that your advice willl work buddy. stop reading them magz and get out and hit the water

I usually do. but this day the bass were super aggressive and all over the place shallow. I covered lots of shoreline taht day.

agreed...your retrieve is TOO FAST...you have to give the fish a chance to view and strike the frog...ie JERK, JERK. pause 3 seconds...then JERK, JERK and pause..you will get more strikes!!!!

You should check into getting a hat cam. This way you wouldn't have to have someone else filming you when your fishing. All you would need is the hat to mount your Flip camcorder onto. If you interested you can shoot me a personal message. Great fish on topwater!
