@Rda131Brian I am guessing for an actual student at that campus it is so much bigger than their "damaged reputation" Their school is in the midst of a major transition as a campus and alot of it is I believe to do with attitudes about sports but as a NU fan I saw ways that their campus acted during their game with us (NU) that allowed me to believe that their focus isn't entirely on win-win-win at all costs. :) Such as taking part in prayer and less attitude in the crowd.

Stop bashing Penn State students who had nothing to do with the scandal. We are some of the most caring people in the world. We will not let the actions of a disgusting man diminish how amazing the study body is and the school. We held a vigil for the victims which was one of the most powerful things I have ever seen. We wore blue to remember the victims. We care about making things right. I am going back to psu next semester because I miss it so much and I could not be happier.

HAHAHA. I wonder what those little kids thought of Penn St. I'm glad PSU students are standing up for those kids almost 12 years after the initial allegations. It's heartwarming to see that the exploitation of a few children can revolutionize a campus that is desperately trying to save face. I'm glad to see students stepping up trying to right a wrong, but this story only sparked interest once the football program was in jeopardy. You can either defend the kids or defend PSU, not both.

This wasn't one man's mistake. To all of you supporting the faculty that knew about this and did nothing, wake up and get your priorities straight. Joe Paterno and everyone else that knew about this and did nothing are cowards afraid of damaging the legacy of their institution. I don't give a damn how good at coaching football he was and college pride doesn't mean a thing when faced with the reality that a pedophile rapist was caught red-handed almost 10 years ago and nothing was done.
We have to accept that for some people, there is nothing we can say or do that is right - the ill-informed will just spew more anger and venom. i had a talk with one of our guidance couclors at school and this goes for the whole state of pennsylvanoia schools. if a student complainedd to a teacher about any kind of abuse the teacher would then go to the guidance counclors. the guidance coulclor would ...then pull the child from the class room and she would talk to the child if there storys match up then the couclors call in social sevices therefore the teachers job is done and so was joe paternos when he reported it to his supervisors.

We will not let the actions of a disgusting man diminish how amazing the study body is and the school. We held a vigil for the victims which was one of the most powerful things I have ever seen. We wore blue to remember the victims. We care about making things right. I am going back to psu next semester because I miss it so much and I could not be happier.

It's heartwarming to see that the exploitation of a few children can revolutionize a campus that is desperately trying to save face. I'm glad to see students stepping up trying to right a wrong, but this story only sparked interest once the football program was in jeopardy. You can either defend the kids or defend PSU, not both.

We have to accept that for some people, there is nothing we can say or do that is right - the ill-informed will just spew more anger and venom. Their anger over the dreadful indictment is understandable, but they lash out at anything even remotely related. We also have to remember that the outside world has never seen Penn State as we do, so innocent things like wearing the colors or singing our alma mater are interpreted as arrogant. Someone who obviously has never been part of a caring community and doesn't understand that this tragedy hasn't affected only the victims. This comment is like saying all Catholics don't have a clue since they still go to Mass.

the teacher goes back to teachoing her class just like joe paterno goes back to his football team and working with them therefore joe paterno should of never gotton fired and he did his job. i would like to say shame on the board for firing him and i hope hes sues the hell out of pennstate.

i had a talk with one of our guidance couclors at school and this goes for the whole state of pennsylvanoia schools. if a student complainedd to a teacher about any kind of abuse the teacher would then go to the guidance counclors. the guidance coulclor would ...then pull the child from the class room and she would talk to the child if there storys match up then the couclors call in social sevices therefore the teachers job is done and so was joe paternos when he reported it to his supervisors.

there is one bright spot in all this tragedy, amongst the terrible reality of child abuse that occurred, the lack of responsibly in not reporting it, and the media demonizing the school, and the outside world hating and not understanding our pride in our school.... we have been brought closer as a community to fight for the kids and for our school, we have been shaken to our foundations, but WE WERE, WE ARE, AND ALWAYS WILL BE... i dont go to penn state, ive wanted to go there for some time. in my opinion it is absolutly rediculous the criticism this school is recieving because of the actions of a few men. no words can describe the stupidity of the rude comments this school and the students who go here have recieved. just because someone goes to PSU does not mean they were in on this scandal all these years. i hope some day soon the school can recover. PSU is an amazing school and you are all so strong. fight on :) <3

That was amazing. I will forever remain Penn State proud. We are not and should not be defined by the actions of a few people. We are so much more than that and we will get through this together and I hope as time goes on people realize that fact.
