  • Dude, you're a great guitarist ..

  • @dimebonics01 thanks very much

  • my god im coming back to watch this again your one of my favorite guitarists ever i love anyone who can play jake or randy well

  • Jake E. Lee is so underrated. Jake IMO always smoked Zakk when it came to creativity and off the wall guitar solos.

  • @Vomitore Agree!

  • This is really good, I like this one a lot, it's probably your best over.

  • @krone900 Thanks a lot, I consider this one of my personal favorites/best as well.

  • I don't know much about a guitar but all I gotta say is that sounded AWSOME!!!

  • Lesson please?

  • You did a great job covering this song! These songs are not easy to learn. How long did it take you to learn this song? Jake was a great guitarist too.

  • @jayramzbee Thanks a lot, it took about a week to work it out by ear (since I couldn't find any decent tabs of it) but it took a couple months to get it all solid/consistent enough to my liking for a single take.

  • Bro you cover all the songs nobody else does. You're fuckin awesome haha

  • @NickxdaxQuick thanks very much, yeah I'm actually kind of surprised that there aren't more covers of this song out there, they're pretty few and far between.

  • @ahenn84 everyone loves randy, and for good reason. but theres something about jake that makes him my favorite. just watch the BATM 1984 tour solo about halfway in. He goes fucking insane. I loved his stage presence

  • @NickxdaxQuick It might also have to do with song popularity too, because there are a lot of "Bark at the Moon" covers, and the same goes with Randy's stuff: there are a lot of "Crazy Train" covers as opposed to something else of his such as "Revelation (Mother Earth)"...that mixed with the fact that there aren't any online tabs of this song that are all that good, I figured out what I could by ear, and most people don't have the patience to do that.

  • wonderful Ultamite Sin was so fucking amazing im sad that i know no-on else who loves it and jake. Anyone here like the track "never" also are the effects just delay + reverb

  • Man, you got skills!

    Cheers from brazil.

  • Dude that was awesome!! Jake E. Lee is a hard player to learn. That was incredible!

  • @jamesdavidson1971 thanks a lot

  • awesome job man. jake e. lee and ozzy songs in general aren't easy to cover, but you pulled this off amazingly, AND you learned it 100% by ear!

  • You look like Cliff Burton a bit. :P

  • awesome job

  • @pedrosilva1967 thanks very much

  • :O WOW <3

  • Damn.............I usually hate to hear someone play another artist's piece of music but this was different. I actually thought it was great. Best of luck to you in the future.

  • Dude! This was amazing! You have to put up a video on how to play it! :)

  • @BarefootDray thanks a lot. I wouldn't mind doing a tutorial video if I got enough requests, although it wouldn't be the 'exact' way to play it since I learned it by ear.

  • @ahenn84 A tutorial would be sweet! i only know how to play the begging chords. And nothing is ever perfect but your playing is pretty close to perfect from the real thing.

  • @ahenn84

    Do ittt!

  • You nailed this cover perfectly!! Totally kick ass bro. Good job!!

  • @Muzzie0323 thanks very much, well I don't know about perfect, but it's as close as I'm going to get it.

  • @ahenn84 Give yourself more credit then that bro. You did awesome. Hey you could be like me and not have any musical talent at all.. LOL!!

  • nice guitar and played dude (:

  • @Judasxmetalxzone thanks a lot

  • what kind of ax is that? it sounds good

  • @cremington11 ESP KH-3 Spider (Kirk Hammett sig.), it originally came with 2 EMG 81 pickups but I replaced the neck one with an EMG 85.

  • dud i think its time for a hair cut its not 1987 its 2010

  • @tricksshomagic1 Yes...because in the 250,000-odd years of human history, men with long hair was exclusive to just the 1980's and nobody ever had it past 1987 *rolls eyes* Sorry for not being a trend whore, I suppose I better start wearing Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie, Old Navy, and Calvin Klein too huh?

  • @ahenn84 DAMN RIGHT MAN! Bitchin cover dude. I recently started learning this song and the verse is pretty tough. You make it look so easy xD.

  • @JudasXPriest Thanks a lot, well I might have made it look easy but it wasn't...I just try to stay calm and set myself on 'auto-pilot' so-to-speak and hope for the best.

  • @ahenn84 LOL

  • @ahenn84 Dude you fucking know this!, i hate following new age trends keep it metal!

  • @ahenn84 Pay the trolls no mind....superb performance!

  • @ahenn84 You torched his ass!! :)

  • @ahenn84 That was a great response to tricksshomagic1. If not for the fact my hair was falling out faster than it was growing (WTF) I'd still be sportin my mane as well.Trends are for followers. Nothing says rock on like a full head of hair. Nice job with the playing.

  • I saw this and posted it on my facebook. wish we could do a rendition of this song together I kick almost as much ass as it as you do except vocally. I am going to be posting a video of a rendition of this song as soon as i can find someone so if ur not too far away or if we can just do it on-line that would be really awesome.

  • @lambmccuin If you could find a way to do vocals along with this video, like a sort of split-screen thing, I would say that's your best bet, because in all honesty I don't think I could play it as well as in this video again.

  • Very nice! I was never able to play the acoustic verse part. Doesn't keep me from trying...and failing.

  • @peaveyandsmolski thanks a lot, and that's alright, as long as you're trying that's the important part. I try and fail a lot lol...I certainly can't play like this on a consistent basis.

  • Holy shit its Jesus playing Ozzy! Nah im just messin' man :P Easily the best amateur cover ive heard of this song. Good job :)

  • Lol can you do tabs for 1:27 - 1:52?

    xP

  • @UberShadow666 I actually did a tab of the whole thing, or at least how I do it in this video anyway, just send me message with your email address and I can email them.

  • @ahenn84

    Got em, thanks.

  • this song is hard

    but really fun lol

  • Awesome !!!

  • love that picking

  • ahenn84 i was wondering if you could post tabs because i am a

fellow guitaristand you did a great job probably the the best cover

i have ever seen great job man!

  • @Skaythe039 apologies for the delay in my response, thanks a lot, and yes I just made tabs of it not too long ago, just send me a message with your email address and I can send them to you.

  • Dude, if I wasn't heavily buzzin from my 3 Bass Ales, and Scrubbing Bubbles fumes (my turn to clean the loo!), I'd have tears in my eyes!!

That was awesome! I would have loved to hear a basic drum track in the background just to make you stand out that much more, but you friggin rule!

  • This is one of my all time favourite songs and you played it fantastically! Well done mate!!

  • @DazzaMcMoo thanks a lot

  • Wow that was amazing. The distortion was a little to distorted lmao but other than that it was pretty much perfect.

  • man u are the best

  • ahen84 let me tell you that was absolutly amazin! i loved every second of it!dont be so down on yourself, you are a phenomonal guitarist =]

  • @xra3ger0 thanks a lot, although I'm by no means being down on myself, just modest/not an arrogant ass like many others are on here lol.

  • I love the sound and the video. U R a pleasure to listen to, thanks for sharing.

  • @bluwng thanks a lot, and no trouble regarding the sharing/upload, I was happy and surprised to get a take this well (I'm actually wearing my work shirt in this lol, since I wasn't expecting to get a good take yet).

  • dude this sounds beautiful.

this is my favorite ozzy song with jake

  • @SuperCzzz thanks a lot

  • excellent

  • dude you need a marshal that line 6 kinda sounds like poop

  • 1. No...I don't, considering the previous amp I had WAS a Marshall (more expensive than the line 6 on top of that) and the line 6 out-performed it in every way. 2. Read paragraph 3 of my channel info...

  • ahenn 84 beware of the killer of giants.he might hunt you .you are a freaking giant .great job .this is a great song.and you did more than awsome

  • thanks very much

  • by the way the way you play with nothing on the background.makes it sound so damn great.i will keep checking your great videos.this is what i talk about about peopple uploading videos this much worth to watch.have a great day .buddy

  • tus videos son los mejores man, eres grandioso, gracias por los videos, eres un excelente guitarrista

  • No idea what you think is wrong with your finger picking. It seems good, your just using one finger, which is normal for electric players. ANd yeah, whatever works best for a player should be what he does.

Great cover though. For videos on the internet, maybe look into a guitar port for your computer(I dont use one, but you have alot so it might help more). But all and all, great.

  • Comment removed

  • Excellent effort mate...You're well ahead of me with this. It's such a great song !

  • Jake himself couldn't do better! What amp do you use... looks like a line6

  • thanks very much, I wouldn't quite go that far but I'm sure he would be proud, and yes it is indeed a line 6 (spider 3).

  • nice cover

  • thanks a lot

  • Go to ozzy it you takes the guitarist )

    You awsome

  • the coolest thing is he kept his hair , awesome tune

  • pretty good

  • perfect...you should cover fire in sky of the no rest for the wicked album

  • I didnt know they sold that guitar. signature kirk Hammett ESP? or something

  • yes it is indeed a Kirk Hammett ESP (KH-3), however they're not made anymore, I bought a previously owned/used one on ebay in '05 (came with the certificate of authenticity too, my particular one was built in late '94)

  • hey dude, one question, the distortion is of amp or pedal?

  • nicee cover man! i liked it

  • thanks a lot, as for your question above, it's from the amp, the pedal/footswitch board I use merely changes its channels.

  • i love you first revelation mother earth now this...subscribed for sure

  • thanks again

  • Well done. Excellent playing!

  • thanks very much

  • For tabs email me

  • This is an amazing cover, man. I'm just getting into this song and I just realized that you covered it a year ago. haha Anyways, awesome job.

    5*

  • thanks a lot, yeah I can't believe it's been a year and a half since I recorded and posted this...it was actually around this time 2 years ago in early '08 when I first tried learning it (weird story: I remember because I happened to have the t.v. on while I was piecing the intro together and all of a sudden 'breaking news: Heath Ledger found dead' and I was just like 'woah'.)

  • 5 stars, great job man

  • thanks very much

  • very very good!

  • good job man... I also tend to finger pluck...

  • I'm not gonna criticize you for not doing things the traditional way. I do all kinds of things the most unorthodox way possible and they seem to work fine for me. This was a great cover despite what any negative comments that may be on here. 5 stars!

  • that was sick man 5 star you deserve a subscription

  • thanks a lot

  • great job man, kicked ass

  • Great Fucking covar man!!!

  • thanks very much

  • Freakin awesome...Rock on!!!

  • Pretty cool! Backing track and you're all set. Good job.

  • I really love this song if you've got the time maybe you could tab it i've got the verse and solo down but need the chrous and the last 2 min or so.please im begging

  • great.. but i think u used tabs... =P

  • @brucelorenzo thanks....but it was indeed by ear...show me a single tab of this out there that's even decent, let alone good: there aren't any...hence what lead me to learn it by ear to begin with.

  • Ok.. I believe you now! Uhmm.. how long did u take to learn it by ear? It's a long and difficult song... OO'

    cya! and again, great cover!!

  • damn thats really good

  • @elbocho19 thanks a lot

  • brings back good good memorys excellant

  • great playing

  • Very nice dude. You stood out there buck naked with that solo and came through.. hehe. Now, you just need to get a Zoom Q3 to really rock the video sound. Great work!

  • Just...wow. You did a wicked awesome job! **plays the vid again**

  • thank you very much!

  • whether technique is unorthodox, you got style

  • nice job dude, only the bends that are kinda out of tune sometimes, but nice work, BTW what means "T.S. for you" at the end of the video description?? hahahahah

  • thanks very much, and regarding your question, 'T.S.' is short for 'tough shit' (which is slang for 'too bad' more-or-less).

  • oh, got that, congratulations anyway, keep the good work!

    rock on dude!!!! \o/

  • amazgin dude ! keep rocking

  • Very nice! Do you mostly down stroke?

  • thanks a lot, yes I favor downpicking most of the time.

  • nice job on the song i cant figure out the tuning for it myself

  • thanks, and the tuning is a half step down: E flat (b), Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb

  • One of my favorite Jake E. Lee songs, nice job. I agree with your comment about do what works best for the player. They said EVH and Hendrix did a few things unorthodox and I'd say they were pretty "fair" guitar players. :) Thanks for sharing the video.

  • thanks a lot, and I bring up those very points (and guitarists) to people as well, Jimmy Page is another I mention and how he sometimes used a violin/cello bow on his guitar.

  • play the solo from Lightning Strikes Again. from Ozzy Jake was my fav in the 80's.

  • An awsome cover dude. I personally think this was Jake E Lee's best song with Ozzy everyone might argue with Bark at the moon but other wise great cover man.

  • thanks a lot

  • perfect

  • Awesome I love this song... not so much the lyrics but the guitar in the song. Epic.

Great playing about time someone on here did the whole thing. I check every few months to see if someone has added a video and here you are.

    WIN.

  • thanks very much, yeah I definitely like this song for the guitar much more so than the vocals/lyrics (I don't mind the vocals/lyrics but I think it would have been better if the singing volume was more in balance with the instruments instead of being louder than them)

  • High Score ^^

  • 5 Stars. Great job! You got it down nearly perfect. Going to post a video response in a few days.

  • 5 stars because you nailed it, but you got to thrown that solid state line 6 away. Its masking your true potential. You work to hard musically to sell yourself short on gear.

  • good job dude ;-)

  • thanks a lot

  • Beautiful playing .

  • great riff i remember this song back in 86 when i lived in new york,thank's...

  • u know dude..i am one of the biggest fan that jakeElee has..

i try to cover all of his song..and this is my favourite..i know its a difficult song...

i dont care for the fucking mistakes..u perfected it 100%..and that counts..

u are better than me..and as i said to another cover of u..i like hearing it better than the studio version :D

  • good job man...

  • thanks very much

  • Sweet video man! Yeah I guess you did use your ESP HaHaHa. Nice guitar to. I like the Headstock , its just straight rectangle and then a little curvy at the top , very Medievil. You played it nice to , sweet song. Rock on man and keep these sweet videos coming!!

  • that was awesome my brother. you did that great tune justice. classic song and classic cover.

  • Bravo my friend!!! Thats motherfucking good!!! Tommy< Munich

  • thanks a lot, yeah he's certainly under-rated and it's sad that Ozzy (or Sharon for that matter) doesn't acknowledge his contributions very much (but I guess that's no different than Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake and Phil Soussan either)

  • not easy. great job. you play great in all your videos. But I think you should use drum and bass backing tracks dude, it would be awesome.

  • isn't that guitar expensive as hell?

  • yes, it´s an esp kirk hammett signature model.

  • They are indeed, they went for around $3,000 at new/retail price, I got mine used of course, but still relatively expensive (a little under half that cost)

  • Lol

    I love the description.

  • I swear Man" I thought it's cliff burton"...Like i dont believe what im seeing..Do you wear bell bottems

to?...Not bad.....Definitly good tone for sure.

  • Excellent. Thanks for sharing. You're getting even better.

  • Uau man you is very, very god...

Sory for my bad english i'm brasilian...

  • Sweet Job. That definitely is a hard song to play. I've tried several times and just cant get it. Good job!!

  • thanks a lot, yeah there were times I didn't think I could pull it off, even when trying to learn the intro I was thinking 'why am I doing this?' or 'I'll never be able to play this' lol

  • Excellent job man.. inspiring !!

  • excellent ,put up some backing drums and bass.I always found killer of giants to be the extension of you can't kill rock 'n ' roll by randy rhoads.

  • Comment removed

  • that was just fucking badass!

  • I would only say you need to play it more 'fluidly' you seam a little stiff..

BUT VERY VERY well done, most impresssed

  • beautiful

  • and how much you kept that starter strat??because i play for 4 months and i was wondering when Should i buy a better guitar i have a starter too

  • can u tell me your guitars from the beginner guitar until you have the jackson RR1 and this esp:D
