Before you get the EFX 1000, you should look @ the Korg kaosspad 3, it's one of the most fun and enjoyable gear you can own today, you have lots of different fx, samples, usb and editor for a computer to edit samples and fx, that's not possible with EFX 1000, it's good but not as near the KP3 when it comes to improvisation, lifting & building your set.

And it's cheap!
