So what kind of midi controller/keyboard is that? I had an alesis q25, but it got knocked off my desk by one of my cats and now my laptop wont recognize it, and it doesnt have drivers for windows 7 (so in short, I need a new one)

@DJRGProductions I have Alesis Q25 too and I think it's a good keyboard for low price. I don't know about any drivers because Win XP don't need it. Keyboard on video is M-Audio Oxygen 49 v3. It's good but, in my opinion, Alesis have better action keys. Maybe good idea is wait for Alesis QX61 and Win 7 support for the same price like Oxygen 49.

@nexiceland Since you're being so polite with answering questions, could you tell me what synth you're using for the talking "yo-yo" bassline? I understand how to make one - just a bitcrusher after an oscillating lowpass cutoff filter (@Letter27Productions). I would just like to know what synth/vst you prefer. It sounds really nice.

For the yo-yo bassline he probably used native instruments massive vst, try it it's a really awesome synth.

@nexiceland hey i have the same midi controller as you, but i dont know how to use any of the switches and knobs except for the pitch bend wheel. could you tell me about everything else or atleast where i could find out?

@KamKomissioner You must use MIDI Learn or something similar on your DAW because Groove Machine can't assign these buttons and knobs. In FL Studio it is "Browse Parameters" or Tools -> Last Tweak -> Link to controler. For more read help from your DAW.

@nexiceland don´t forgot native plugins from image line have direct link to controler right click on element and link. This method i used more for external VST non FL Plugin and Nice groove machine demo. =D Any freestyle session live too? regards.

@moglia Groove Machine don't have right click assign because it's more complex plugin, test it. I made some official demos and presets for GM, Oldschool Beat is like electro freestyle, my little tribute for this genre ;).

I just became aware of this. Can you sample chunks of a song and do a sort of live remix thing with this? I already use FL 10 and I'm looking for a way to do live edits and mixes of tracks that I've already produced. I looked at Ableton and Octatrack but I haven't made up my mind yet. I would appreciate your input. Nice jam by the way, good work.

@meshlife88 Thanks :). No, you can't mix your own songs. It's only hybrid synthesizer (5 slots) and sampler (8 slots) with 10 effects per every channel. Sequencer have 8 patterns x 8 bars. You can make song from this, it's just like korg electribe, nice instrument for live, and it all ;).

@gumdrops27 It's Core i3 M350, PB1 was ~50% (I use 8 channel, 5 synths, ~15 effects) but now PB2 it's max 20%-30% and Maxx still working on it. This is nice result because CPU in notebook are weaker than stationary PC.
