  • I would think the pine sap is bad for their stomach....

  • Ever eat a pine tree? Many parts are edible. :)

    Elephants never forget, you know.

  • The sap isn't bad for them?

  • Mmmmmm.... pine tree! Thank you for sharing, and thank you for the great work you all do for the elephants!

  • Shirley and I are the same age! Whooppeee doooo!! I know how much I've learned in my lifetime and I imagine Shirley's learned a lot, too!. Her poor leg has been mangled by something or someone. My heart goes out to her as she looks so courageous and positive in spite of it all.

  • @reubensrose Whenever I think of Shirley, I wish so much her former caretaker - Solomon James, would come visit her. They have offered the opportunity to him, but he's never accepted. She would love it I'm sure, and it would probably be good for him to see her too, since it was his only job for so many years. He's the one who removed the chain from her leg when she arrived at the sanctuary . . . Make me cry to think of their relationship.

  • Very interesting to watch!! Thank you for all these great episodes!!!! They make tree trunks look so yummy!

  • It's amazing how much dexterity they have in their tusks and trunk--very interesting! They look happy to be there.

  • Fascinating to watch.
