A true hero, fighting proper soldiers in a proper war. When the papers mention the word 'hero' think of what this man went through. This man was in mud, inches deep fighting heavily armed germans hand to hand with daily artillery bombardments.

so next time the papers mention our 'heroes' fighting afghan tribesman armed with a kalashnikovs while our 'heroes' hide behind helicopters, tanks, drones and wire guided missiles just think who deserves the tag 'hero'.
