Dude, they have the most intese chemistry out. Seriously, it makes me ache not to see them together. They belong. It's that simple.

To be honest, I didn't really pick up on a strong sense of chemistry until maybe a few later seasons. Sure the first one kind of establishes their partner relationship. And he'd surely back her up and her the same. But I think the first one kind of establishes who they are and how the show's going to go in terms of personalities.

A few episodes later when they expound into the detectives personal lives more, and when the cases get more involved and intense, that's where their chemistry between E and O come out more - to me at least. It might be a bit different because I never watched the first season first.

When I first started watching, I watched the re-runs of like season 4 and 5 on TNT/TBS or whatever channels those were LOL. I'd watch them out of order basically. The last season I watched in full was the one where he had a new partner. So now going back and watching from the beginning it's different. But I don't see that strong chemistry you see now. Of course that's because you have to grow over time you know? *shurgs* so we'll see. :D

I wonder how traumatic it was for mariska to do this particular scene due to childhood memories of the car accident with her mom. One thing the writers knew they could not do was kill Kathy in this scene because it might have affected Mariska.

i never really noticed that when they hugged, Elliot had his eyes closed as well. They do love each other. I try to be as realistic with these two as possible because i don't want to be disappointed. Sometimes I think people are reading too much into their professional relationship but I truly believe now that they shsre romantic feelings for each other.

Okay, the hug is from season 9 durring the episode 'Paternity'. Olivia and Kathy are in a car accident and Kathy goes into labor.

If you search 'Paternity SVU Car Accident' it should come up with some stuff.

Anyway, Elliot came out of Kathy's room and he just hugged Olivia.

Search 'Elliot Olivia The Hug' and it should come up.
