It wasn't Howard's responsibility to try to muscle management into paying Jackie more money. Jackie's a grown man. He made the decision to leave the show, because he thought he wasn't being paid enough, good for him. Unfortunately, he realized his mistake weeks later. He tried to get his job back, but Howard and the rest of the show moved on, and so should you.

Howard never claimed to be a comedian or say his show was a comedy show. In his own words he does a "stream of conciousness" radio show.

And ratings ? As soon as Howard signed with Sirius their subscriptions shot up like 300% ! Satellite radio was on the verge of DYING before he came to it. Get real.

I'd say Jackie is funnier as a comedic writer and hilarious with off the cuff jokes. Especially his material he wrote for Billy West for the Jackie puppet. Whereas Artie is funnier as a standup and with his stories. So I'd say Artie is more suited for the mic and Jackie is better suited for the writing and occasional mic time. Totally agree with ya on Artie/Howard situation. Artie never would stand up to Howard like Jackie did. Hence the lack of friction between Artie and Stern.

They bash Jackie, but here are the facts... Jackie used to pass Howard notes with jokes on them, during the show. Howard got the credit for Jackie's creativeness. At the time of Jackie's contract breakdown, Stern was making somewhere between 17-20 million dollars per year. Jackie was offered $800,000but held out for ONE million.(a reasonable demand) Jackie could have been afforded, by the station, if Stern wasn't so greedy. It's true, Jew boy had to have "all the marbles" for himself.

Not all Jews are bad, but sterotypes exist for reasons. And Howard Stern is all about the money.

If Howard demanded 80% of that figure, obviously, there's less to go around for all the others.
