megs simplicity is part of what makes the white stripes great. it adds to the intensity. if neil pert drummed for the white stripes the band would incompatible. some of the greatest songs, in my opinion, were also so of the most simple. for example, look art son house's "Grinnin in your face". all it is is him singing and clapping off time, but its a powerful song because it comes from his soul.
