Great interview from Carroll, but what a terrible interviewer!!!!, he sounds about as enthusiastic about conducting the interview as going to the dentist...
One of very few Actors I would have loved to have had a chance to talk with, even if it were only to thank for their talent on screen. Fascinating interview to say the least.
if anyone is my age.baby boomers was our parents,WW2 they all came back and just went to town in bed man..so many were born in the 40's its crazy, hence the baby boomers.really good guy here,i like this man always have, and baseball was a pure sport back then..not no more its all about money..funny lookin back to now and seeing the changes.funny how he talks radio,as im in the bizz he is right about that back then,man..we are talkin the invention of T.V and radio was it.black and white was it!
Fantastic, fantastic actor! I loved him! Watch All In The Family reruns every time it is on, and it never gets old. "Archie's" chair sits in the Smithsonian.
Carroll O' Connor is, without a doubt, the greatest actor in all of history of television. My favorite role was when he played Chief/Sheriff William O. Gillespie in the show "In the Heat of the Night". Mr. O' Connor was absolutely amazing.
If God ever makes another one like him, I'll be very surprised. Wow, what a talent. If he had a Texan accent, he'd be half the men in my family.... only more lovable.

He reminds me so much of my father that passed away in '76. More so in the "Archie" character. Either way, I miss Carrol O'Connor. I miss my dad.

How many years did he live in Ireland?
He seems to have travelled all over the world in his younger years.
