  • can someone tell me what is a better sounding unit this one or 101?

  • Sound-wise they are pretty much the same. The re-101 has 3-repeat/3 swell modes (swell is different combinations of the playback heads) and only a one output. The re150 has 3 repeat/3 single modes. Single mode is simply one repeat and the intensity control (amount of repeats) does not work for these settings. The re150 also has 2 outputs , so if both are being used the direct signal goes to one output and the effected signal goes to the other.

  • Captivating and amazing

  • That sounds awesome. I have one of these units that I bought for $350 CAD that I use for guitar. Sounds killer.

  • This video inspired me to buy my RE-150.

Do the green felts mean it's never been serviced?

I wish my pinch roller looked like that, I've also not got the thumb screws that hold the lid.

  • Thankyou! yeah I love the old tape delays! green felt is not so important. More important for a good sound is even surface on the pinch roller and smooth bearing action in the motor . ... and new tape of course!

  • @apprenticemart2
