  • Very nice job done there,on what must surely be a very rare bird nowadays.

  • Has Inyo ever revisited the Virginia & Truckee? Is there a chance any of the original V&T equipment will return to the V&T?

  • @thomasrosiefan1

Well, when the Inyo gets its air brakes repaired and up to standards, its possible. V&T coach #10 stayed on the Virginia & Truckee for a little while in the 70's when shortline enterprises operated their equipment up there.

  • @spfilms4449 Hopefully when the entire V&T is open, Inyo will attend.

  • @thomasrosiefan1 If it helps at all, Inyo is currently on display inside the Nevada State Railroad building. She will run again this year on the V&T on the 4th of July. I myself paid a visit to Inyo inside the museum during my visit to the Nevada State Railroad Museum last weekend and plan on catching her running on the V&T on July 4th.

  • @CaliforniaRailfan101 thanks for the info. i will be there on the 4th of July also. hope to see you.

  • Hey this is a very cool video. On my VirginiaTruckee account, you saw the video I just posted. In Part 2, yet to be posted, I got several minutes of Bill Kohler and Russ Tanner explaining this history.

You did a good job here, I hope you keep up your interest in V&T history! One note, passenger traffic declined earlier than 1932, I'd have to nail it down but I think the highway from Reno to Carson City was completed by 1924, causing the V&T to lose passengers and also losing freight to trucks.

  • Hi Ryan,

Great video my friend!!! Excellent editing, and a great choice in the music!!!

Very interesting history! I'd never seen this car before! Well done Ryan!!!

    "Thumbs Up....Way Up!"

    Best Regards,

    Dwayne
