Its ok but Elvis was much much better. Elvis had a passion for his music that nobody else in this world has ever had. There is not a female on this earth that can top how elvis sung a song,and most likely not a male either. In my opinion I hate female versions of elvis songs,they just dont sound right.

The effect this song had on people when Elvis performed it live was astonishing. Some would weep unashamedly, while others remained standing throughout the song. The audience reaction after Elvis finished it was simply indescribable. Carola does a great job here!

Great job. And I'm an Elvis fan.

It's great to see a Swedish (!) singer really getting and caring about this song (representative and empathetic to all three sides of the most tragic part of American history) and it was breathtaking with the drummers in the American Civil War uniforms. She was able to connect to the song.

Elvis' version is still the most epic and grandest (you just can't beat the epic trumpets blaring power shot and the proud American Eagle jumpsuit), but this does it justice!

hon gör den bra. MEN elvis är ju helt klart bäst den auoran som elvis har runt om sej å hur han framför den å den ljupa underbara röste slår ju fan allt när ha sjunger den här låten. det har inte riktigt carrola hon har bara bra röst lixom men inte den kännslan som elvis hade.

Who cares about all the crap written about Carola? Fact remains that she is an incredible singer, and she nailed this very difficult song. When you treat the songs you`re singing with respect, this is the result. Guess you also know that Carola is a huge fan of Elvis.
