  • ...as they walk past the register without paying.

  • Harming that little girl was the furthest thing from Sheldon's beautiful mind. He truly just wanted to make friends. Sad, really.

  • hahaha poor sheldon :D but i think it's very sweet how protective leonard is of sheldon!

  • Lol homosexual bunnies and Sheldon said my name Rebecca 

  • Lol homosexual bunnies and Sheldon said my name 

  • i also find sheldons points to make sense however i am not so socially awkward that i would make them or smart enough to think of them

  • @gagigagu Do you not realize that you just defined Aspergers? Someone who is socially awkward and BRILLIANT

  • "Don't look up, there's cameras."

  • hey, sheldon didn't pay for this book.

  • not as funny as when he makes a date with a gay guy

    but still hilarious

  • @chiraine1 hahah. That was hilarious. The others had to explain to him what he did off camera.

  • Uumm, i don't know how you guys think about it, but in my Opinion Sheldon is just character. NOT a real Person.

So if you think about it, i hope you'll come to the same conclusion as me, that it is F***ing irrelevant if Sheldon has Aspergers Syndrom. xD

  • @MsBrainiac17

I know people exactly like Sheldon. If you've ever been among science fiction fandom, people like Sheldon, Leonard et al. abound.

  • Isn't it strange and worrying that a man befriending a child is immediately identified as pedophilic here?

  • @Gagigagu mate I came here to have a laugh not to know how the mind of Sheldon Cooper functions...

  • Oh my God! Lmao!

  • @Fullmetalsnake4501: I don't get my education about people from stereotyped TV shows. The reason I know Sheldon has Asperger's Syndrome? I myself have Asperger's Syndrome. I research and do motivational speaking about it, and I know dozens if not hundreds of people with it and various other forms of Autism. Sheldon has Asperger's.

  • @Thepopcornator Exactly. People with Asperger's are as diverse as anybody else and if you know one or just have seen or read about one depiction you can't make conclusions about it. It might be trivial and irrelevant for some people but for those affected it's not. Some can relate and laugh about those things and that's heartwarming.

  • @Gagigagu: In other words, Asperger's Syndrome :P

  • @Thepopcornator dude watch Boston Legal and you'll see Asperger's syndrome there and Sheldon doesn't have it.

  • That girl grew up and made the "Friday" song.

  • i love how sheldon doesnt realize how pedophilic he is acting

i also find it strange how socializing with children is pedophilic.....

something is wrong, its either the pedo's or the fear of pedo's

  • but.. he walked out of the bookstore with a book... without paying...isnt that illegal?

  • @Kabloomi not in america, those fatties are so illiterate, they cant even give the books away for free!

  • @Kabloomi that's why he said "don't look up there's cameras."

  • I like monkeys and birds...

  • Homosexual bunnies.

  • Curious George is technically a chimpanze.

    He has no tail.

I know it's pretty hard to miss.

  • I would like to go to the zoo with Sheldon.

  • I watched this episode and when he said dont look at those cameras i couldn't stop laughing XD

  • I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

  • @macrent2 that's super

  • It would've been funny if Chris Hansen was looking at the books.

  • he didnt borrow the book before leaving....did he go back?

  • he didnt borrow the book befor leaving....did he go back?

  • so f*ck*ng funy

  • lol "don't look up there's cameras" probably the most quoted line at my house :)

  • lol Rebecca's my name! XD "Don't look at those cameras"

  • Sheldon has got to be my favorite TV character of all time. hes so awkward. He thinks he is making perfect sense.

  • SHELDON IS AMAZING.

  • Sheldon doesn't have Asperger's syndrome, he's just a socially awkward nerd who never learned how to interact with other humans. That's why he always says things that would make sense to him, and it seems offensive to the people he's talking to (but not from his perspective)

  • @Gagigagu Guess what, most people who have Asperger's syndrome are socially awkward, have difficulty learning how to interact with other humans and often say things that make sense only to themselves, but can be offensive to other people.

  • @Gagigagu

the character wasn't written with it in mind, but he has many of the characteristics seen in the diagnostic criteria. i know this because i am trained to make that diagnosis (amongst other ones).

  • @psychobollox Did someone bring AS to the attention of the writers who then said that it was unintentional? Otherwise, I'd be seriously surprised if it was unintentional.

  • @adrimare1

the science world is full of people who are a fair bit like sheldon, as the predictability of science tends to attract many people who fit into the broader autistic phenotype. i've seen some people during my time at university who would fit that, too. not all would get a diagnosis, though, because that has to be given if there is difficulty in at least two areas of living. sheldon is doing fine in his environment, but might not in the 'ornery world'; he'd get the dx out there.

  • @adrimare1

i'm gonna go with the idea that the writers didn't know, but were just playing up the stereotype of the 'typical' scientist. personally, i don't mind either way. us Asperger-autistics are humans too, and we have our uses and places in society (if only people would let us!).

i've seen behavioural evidence in sheldon that could lead to any number of ICD 10 Ch5 diagnoses, and would be slow to suggest any of them, but they do kinda shine through Jim Parson's acting. He's good!

  • @psychobollox it's ironic though not entirely coincidental that your username sums up both your statement here and also your manner

  • @touchcoma

what? just because i actually know something about a subject, you have a go at me? what does that say about you? there's nothing nasty in my manner at all. there is something wrong with yours, though. you just seem to want to wind people up. what a waste of a brain you're being.

i'd tell you to grow an IQ but you'd pretend to be offended.

get real. look at your OWN faults before you have a go at someone else. because you have plenty.

  • @psychobollox hehehe how funny, so easily goaded you are. :-) you should be more secure in yourself, don't be so readily prepared to respond to ppl not worth your time. good bye, and geniunely have a good day :-)

  • @Gagigagu yes he has, the big bang writers said it!

  • @Gagigagu I have to ask, why the hell are you even making this a debate? Does it really matter to you whether he has aspergers syndrome or not? Will it make you like the character less or something? I just don't get the reason for all the fussing over such trivial bullshit.

  • wat's asperger's syndrome?

  • It's the worst form of autism.

I don't think Sheldon has got it though ^^

  • @roodhoofd74123 Actually, Asperger's is one of the highest functioning forms of autism, which would make it the opposite of the "worst form of autism." FAILED.

  • @HisDivineShadow245

speaking as an autistic psychologist who is an autism specialist, the very fact of Asperger-type autism being so 'high-ability/functioning' means that it is not often noticed and therefore very much misunderstood. given that the more obvious Kanner-type autism is so obvious, people displaying that form tend to be 'understood' more, meaning that the Asperger-autistic person kinda has it worse: we just get called nasty shit.

having seen both kinds, trust me, YOU failed.

  • @BabyKagome16 Asperger syndrome is an autism spectrum disorder, and people with it therefore show significant difficulties in social interaction, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests.

  • "Probably about homosexual rabbits."

    lmao!

  • lucky little girl. I'd love to go to the zoo with Shelly XD

  • This is so funny. I have a son who has Asperger's and this just totally cracks me up. It's so hard to "teach"/explain these skills to someone who just doesn't get it! Too funny.

  • haha, yeah...it is pretty awesome that a character like Sheldon became so popular on television. He's a great character, and Jim Parsons does such a great job at making him intense yet likeable.

  • anyone can tell if this is a bookshop or a library???

    yes, geek discussion.

  • I think it's a libary and he's in the kids corner

  • Sheldon tries pedophilia for a day. This was funny as hell!

  • Why did he say "Don't look at those cameras" ??

  • so the police dont see him... and think he is a pedophile

  • because to anyone who didnt know sheldon, it would look like he was a pedophle

  • because they might think he's a pedophile...

  • don't look at those cameras: best quote ever.

  • i'm called rebecca too BUT I CANT MEET SHELDON I'M IN ENGLAND!!!!! such is the cruel fate of big bang theory nerds who live on the other side of the world

  • I'm in the same situation - it's so unfair. Not only am I unable to go to Comic-con, but I cant go to a taping either - ah, cruel life :(

  • Im in Argentina, we dont even have any coms...so unfair, the closest thing we have sucks so much if you compare it to comicon...

  • @xxxemoxbeccaxxx

On the good side, you're closer to him than I am, I live in Romania, that's a little bit far from him.

  • @OakiLory I live in romania too XD

  • omg!

    this show is genius!

Sheldon may be a genius but hes not to smart when it comes to social situations! x)

  • Well... he has asperger's syndrome. What did you expect?

  • Sorry, but i didn't realise, i didn't even know what it was until i looked it up...

  • omg i really wish they would like make them hang out and be friends :))

  • HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHA!!!!!! cringe!

  • LOL!!!!
