  • Not only was he super talented but the man could not take a bad picture. Reruns are on RTV right now and my 25 year old daughter comes in sees him and goes whos the hottie?

  • I hope that he has found the peace that he never found in life.

Thank you for the work you left behind.

  • I think an attempt at suicide was always going to be on the cards, clearly he suffered from depression. You can that in his eyes.Always a give away.

  • I really don't this presenter of this programme, many American programmes seem to be like this, very loud, shouty and so fake.

  • Loved Peter, I feel so much for Roger, it wasn't fair for him to have to replace someone so fast and to see Roger in tears is heartbreaking even now. Thank you for putting this vid on here so that we can all see how lovely but troubled Peter was, I know that his brother is obviously still affected and hope that he knows that he couldn't have done anything to stop this tragedy. God keep you safe Peter and family.

  • Such a great loss.I think he was a very sensitive and caring man which in itself lends to his early departure,it's very hard to live in a world so full of selfish and destructive people and thats not a criticism to anyone on here which should be obvious. R.I.P. Pete. and Peace to all.

  • Liked Alias Smith and Jones. Always thought Pete and Ben had great chemistry. Sad.

  • Pete Duel will NEVER die.

  • have any of you read the poems he wrote? they are so beautiful and sad.

Especially the one they read at his funeral. He was such a gentle soul with so much inner turmoil, I agree with his sister I don't think he would have done it had he been sober, alchahol warps the mind and will enhance depression I hope we all learn from his pressious life and tragic death, so it never happens again.

  • After having rediscovered the charming, "Alias Smith & Jones" (which I didn't watch when it was on first run), I miss Pete Duel's easy manner and likable personality even more. He embodied Hannibal Heyes like no one else ever could. Rest in peace, Peter. Wish we could have reached you when you were alive and told you how much you and your gifts meant to us.

  • Love you, Peter. See you on the other side.

  • It was Pete's brother, Geoff, who played Billy the Kid in Chisum.

  • So this guy went to NY to become an actor when I was 2 years old.But his role as Billy the Kid in the John WAyne movie Chisulm was one of my favorite all time performances. Its so rare to find a good cowboy actor;he could have gone on to be perhaps the greatest cowboy actor of the next generation.I will miss him forever.

  • @kittysusca No, that was Peters brother who played in Chisum, I do wish you would check before you post, his name is clearly listed as Geoffrey Deuel.

  • Bless you soooooo much for posting this!!!! I've wanted to see it forever. I can never stop wondering what more he would have done by now if he'd been able to get straight with thoughts of his life & keep on going. So glad there is lots of his charm & talent posted on YouTube. Love you, miss you Pete!
