I've always imagined the 12/8/80 drop off to be along side of the sidewalk, like a cab, putting the limo driver in a position distant from the shooting. The way the limo is positioned here the driver would be quite close. I've been looking for the doorman's location at the moment of the shooting, can't find him. Nor is he depicted in re-enactments.

He & the Beatles really did represent love and hope for millions of people. Still do actually. On a social-cultural level worldwide, his assassination was as traumatic and profound if not more so then JFK's. It's 2007 and the man is still sorely missed. We could have used him during this latest war, if nothing else but as a voice of reason because as of now we've got nothing. We've got the internet, which is great, but so far it's all medium and no message.
