  • He missed a few mounting steps here and there, overall he did a good job but I will point out he did miss a few things to point out especially for those who aren't experienced. For those of us (like myself) who have been working with them for a long time it's easy to point out what wasn't pointed out or etc but a newbie wouldn't be the wiser. He did a good job I'm not criticizing but I feel there should be a follow up video touching up on what possibly was missed in this video.

  • @snake10566 - He made many. Not sure why you called me an idiot? Peace.

  • Can you guys pick out the mistakes he made. I would give him a mark of about 75% if I was his teacher. ;)

  • @BTGamer1 Newegg.com

  • but how do you know if its windows xp windows vista or 7???

  • The hardware doesn't automatically come with an operating system on it. You're supposed to install the version of windows you desire via a CD.

  • @SharkWADs o ok

  • 4:37 massive ipod

  • 0:54 that was epic... lol

  • Instead of having annoying music you should voice over.

  • wtf is this for? i just use pcfix.co.uk :-)

  • what do u guys think abour RAID on solid state drives?!?!? pointless or is it faster?!?

  • @DaBossk la buco soma ledio unconventikas

  • @DaBossk SSD's are the futer of hardrives. But for now....their a bit to expensive. I would recomend just getting two good sized hd's and raid 0ing them together. But i mean, if you have the money....then get an ssd. But i mean...what my friend did for his gaming station is he took two wd 620 gig black caviar hd's and roaid 0'ed them together. Then he took an ssd and used it as his master drive. Its all about cost and preference. If you want more info...or help just pm me.

  • Thank you! I will make my own on the next...

  • This is the clean and tidy version! No screaming, cussing, or crying!

Oh,this does not include programming the computer.

  • Some cases do not have standoff spacers screwed in ahead of time in the correct pattern for the form factor of the mainboard (ATX, microATX, EATX, etc)--this step was skipped in the video so a dumb guy could attach his mainboard directly to the bottom of the case, having no standoff spacers at all so when he/she powers up, the pcb through hole component leads might short out to the grounding of the case--a very bad plan that will smoke the system.

An extra 30 seconds of video would be nice.

  • @oldspammer yeah i noticed something also. he spread the thermal compound, which i a bad idea. not to mention the bad cable management. best of all it said the video card power cord was optional. it was a nice try for basic stuff though. i wouldn't recommend following this vid exactly. i love watch this kinda crap and how bad they can screw it up. i bought my case at a local shop and the clerk told me a horror story about a guy who trashed 3 builds by not using stand offs. funny stuff.

  • @blueovalfan23 How about you upload a video, explaining in a professional manner. If not, then learn to respect others for there effort.

  • @FahadSeyam i think you have me mistaken. i was attempting to warn people about bad advice. very true i could make a video. i guess i should... since my machine is up and running... i see no point there are 1000's of comments talking about the thermal compound and stand offs are common sense.the cable management needs some work but at least an ide ribbon wasn't cover the cpu fan. i stand by that "love watching these videos to see how bad people can screw it up". if you need advice, message me ok

  • How To Fix Device Error I/O HELP ME PLESE

  • ,,,thanks man,,

  • i wanted my pc to be repaired and got told my motherboard is damaged. how do i get a compatible motherboard that will support all the parts that still work? some repair person said it would be cheaper to just buy a new custom made pc but $500 is not a bargain. $300 or so is more my lane. and besides, i want to use the windows i had so i can use all my programs, not use some new os where everything would have to be reinstalled.

  • i found a site: w w w. techn0kings. t k ... on this site u can buy really cheap stuff like in this vid, if u order it will lay on ur door mat in 2 weeks

  • i listen to this when the wife cooks italian food coz when we eat it is like being in a really shit italian resturant

  • i just used h tt p://w w w. improveyourpc. co. uk/ easy! and free guys good luck :) thanks!

  • @mchlor so wat?

i like shiny shit too so i would

  • quick question... im doing repair work on my pc (dead hard drive) and i found 3 sata connectors. i know about raid hard drive0 and 1 which both requires 2 hard drives.. so whats the 3rd socket for?

  • @system32master The third SATA port is for whatever you want, another harddrive etc.

  • @dchains can it be used as a raid for 3 hard drives??

  • @system32master

Yep, you can use all three ports for a RAID.

  • this music reminds me on chef hans...

  • "discharge yourself before you begin." I didnt know this. Thanks.

  • lol awfull music " but nice video :)

  • It's called a "Motherboard".

  • The song gave me a boner lol

  • hey

    i have a computer with a 2.15 Ghz processor

    2GB RAM

    and a crappy graphics card...

can anyone tell me wat i should get upgraded to make my computer a gaming computer?

    THanks

  • @Parts44 the graphics card

  • @Parts44 and the ram to 4 gb would help too. also the 2.14 ghz processes speed isnt bad but not recommended for hard core games these days.

example processor speed for oblivion will work fine but games like nfs shift you will have frequent crashes.

  • @Parts44

The video card definitely, but also consider throwing in 2 more GB's of RAM.

  • go to ppc-fix.webs.com and call them they will build one for you if you ask them

  • Respond to this video... my computer has just stopped working there was a like burning smell so i turned it off and now it has just stopped working.it is very dusty on the inside what could be the problem and how is it resolved

  • @fable2playa - ppc-fix.webs.com

  • @fable2playa

The dust more likely built up and caused a component inside the system to overheat and die.

Take it to a local computer repair shop so they can find the burnt part and possibly get it replaced.

  • Chances are your power supply has failed. There isn't actually a way to resolve it other than buying/building another computer because when a power supply fails it usually takes all of the other components with it.

  • @SharkWADs Not necessarily. I've had a couple of power supplies fail on me, and all my components have worked perfectly.

  • GREAT MUSIC :D SIRIOUSLY

  • Any fool can throw a computer together like that.

Great if it boots up first time with absolutly no problems what so ever if there are complications, parts not installed properly etc then well.... lol

Vid covered the build part but nothing else. Did it work? Did it not? who knows :)

  • One thing I have to complain about why is there no hot geek girls building computers?

    Other than that great vid,.

  • besides that, boot up, then insert and install windows, then your done

  • Best 5:35 minutes of their life for the ones who want to know

  • Go to 10minutecomputerrepair com if you want more of this type of instruction. Nice video. Packs a lot of knowledge in just 5 minutes

  • this video is really compact, shory but covers very much ;)

i also come up with a blog where digital products like ebooks, videos etc. about technical issues of the computers are linked. it maybe useful for some if you cann afford a little.

i have pruchased the ebook DIY computer repair and it is really helpful.

  • If a screw is falling on your mainboard by accident.... don't forget to pick it up before you turn on your PC. ;)

  • ok so i bought a Dell desktop but it didnt come with a monitor and the dude told me that for the monitor the only specifications it had were it needs to have VGA input and 32 bit color. so i kno wat VGA input is but wtf is 32 bit color i can find it for actual towers but nothing for the monitors, how do i figure out if a monitor is 32 bit color?!? pleeease help me!!!

  • @alaster74 your graphics card must be 32 bit and trust me unless your computers like 15 years old its 32 or 64 bit

  • @alaster74 all monitors will support 32 bit colors.... vga plug is the *blue* plug in the back of the computer.. its about a inch wide go with any VGA monitor and youll be fine

  • @scuster45 yes it does cos a small static shock can run a motherboard, ram stick etc

  • the gpu power connector isnt optional its needed

  • @danthaman7777 lol. "don't forget the optional power connector, if you want to use it"

  • @danthaman7777 its optional. not every video card has it.

  • ...you forgot to connect the ATA to the mobo

  • wait how do i know if the hardware are compatible with each other?

  • @oddkid555 then you need to read or question about each hardware part you're planning on buying/installing.

That might take some time but you'll want to be 100% sure.

  • Way to say Fuck you to cable management lol

  • Love the porno music in the back.

  • @Chickenbitez It's a shame that guitar music that isn't rock, metal, or pop is considered porno music... And this is a 19 year old who does like rock, not some old guy saying it. :P

  • @Chickenbitez some good vintage porno music

  • @Chickenbitez lol only you would say that

  • @Sporkinator4 Im a porno guru. I know everything about it.

  • @Chickenbitez loooooool!

  • @Chickenbitez LMAO! this is really in a porn?!? haha this music sounds way too peaceful XD

  • @Chickenbitez

    win fucking win

  • The hardest and longest part is probably the power supply. Having to connect ALL those wires. Otherwise, it's easy and fast.

By the way, this video made ONE mistake. Make sure to have the wires taped to the case so they don't dangle around crazily, and for loose/unused wires to be hidden away in a area of the PC. In other words, just don't have the wires all over the place because if they aren't all over the place, you have a cooler PC.

  • This is why I don't get why people think it's so hard to make a computer and fix it... it might be a complex machine, but it has a standard construction.

  • @ajkelton Would it be better to make your own computer than buy one or just replace the stuff on your computer?

  • @2468DDT it depends on what your needs are, you really only want to build your computer if you want it for gaming or other system demanding jobs that you want specific parts for, otherwise It's cheaper to just buy one, and also whether or not you know enough. There is a lot that this video didn't explain about when actually shopping for parts or the set-up when you first turn it on and you enter the BIOS and how to trouble shoot if something doesn't work when you start it up

  • @rhinno112 Thank you

  • hey i got a problen with mine it quite new but when i try to turn it on it just beeps and nothing happens i've had if fixed numorough times the dude said it wat the keybord part anyidea on how to fix this problem once and for all

  • @camsta272 your getting a POST warning. Your motherboard book should tell you what specific beeps mean. It could be your video card since post will usually show up in text on the screen if that is working. It is definately a hardware problem though.

  • what cpu cooler is that?

  • Good video but needed some explanations.

  • nice & great

  • Very nice and helpful...

  • Wow You need to make a computer from machines at the factory!!!

  • no plm cool

  • I'm going to make a computer I've never done it before and I would like to know how much a good set of parts would cost.

  • @XeroSpace21 if your a pc gamer than it's gonna cost you 1000$ or if you just need a good pc than it's 200-300$

  • putting shit together is easy. Basicly aircraft maintenance is like that. Its what is compatible which I really want to know. Will certain boards only work with some cpus ?? What should i look for when trying to make all the part compatible?

  • It's pretty simple. Say the motherboard's CPU socket is an AM3 socket. For that you will need to get an AM3 processor. Say the board supports DDR3 memory. That works the same way.

  • for these people who can't build there own computer it is a good instruction but they are noob

  • jjj

  • It would have been nice to see it started just to make sure it was working. I noticed that nothing is showed on the Hard drive jumpers.
