I have no idea. It isn't mine. It was in an old military submarine and I really with I could get it. It's worth being restored and used instead of just being a display piece.
hey cassette master i have a couple question you might be the man to help me out. here ok .I want to make custom speaker for my computer so i have this old speaker with the wire i was going to cut a head phone set wire and connect the speakers directly to the headphone wires which is connect to the metal nipple lol that goes inside the comp you know where you usually connect the head phone would the speakers sound??man im try this soon i need help???I want to see if i save some money lol
damn i knew it i just had to try it ..your so right lol their super low like 5 watts lol it says 25 watts each speaker but the damn jack wont sound loud lol lol thanks man ill just buy a new set lol im done experimenting thanks for the reply man i love your vintage systems .I saw superman one in one of those vetamax lol oh wrong video lol ..thanks!
Hey CassetteMaster, Thanks for your information, I will look and see what I can get to replace the old motor-run capacitor. With the right specs, as you suggested. Thanks alot. I really like the old/retro stuff too. I have it myself, but had to throw out some because of moving, I was pushed to do that, and some tossed out on my without even asking me, so ya, I'm mad about it still. Thanks.
Good vid clip, as usual please keep it up. I have a M-5 akai also, but the motor stopped working, I think it is the motor starter capacitor, (te big metal can), do you know where I can get the replacement, because it worked well befre that?. Thank.
I probably was the motor-run capacitor. The replacement doesn't have to be a big metal can type, but it needs to be the right microfarads and at least 120 volt, and be able to use AC current.
Not always so, Dolby Noise reduction worked on a subtle amounts of retraction of dynamic range (compression) as part of the noise reduction process etc... when encoding onto the cassette, then decoding meant reversing the effects, explaining why cassettes sound like cassettes on a non dolby player, and there are limitations what a cassette can do, I did an AB test with CD vs tape on same song, CD sounded more crisp. in your standing, I would agree, but only when it comes to vinyl or master tape.
hello, you really have a great collection of audio gear I have some reel to reel decks sony pioneer ,sanyo tandberg jvc I also have amps and cassette decks. I have alot of the same models that you have how did you aquire this much stuff you look very young
Wow watching this reminds me exactly how my room & our house looked when I was younger, Except I collect any old AV equipment. I use to have a nice Pioneer rt-303 reel to reel but I sold it. Two things I didn't see that I have videos of was a pocket rocker tape player & PXL 2000 though those are getting costly. I have a video of an old Sony laser disc player I fixed & I'll be posting videos of some old ced players & other stuff I've collected.
Also, I wanted to add that I'm working on taking apart a pocket rocker to connect it's head to a cassette deck & use it for recording my own pocket rocker tapes! I'm going to erase the ones I have duplicates of with a hard drive magnet & record New songs on them.
I'm not sure I know exactly what you mean, But a long time ago I remember having some filmstrip projectors that came from a school & they had a built in cassette player that would play a tone & change slides as it described what was in the pictures it was showing, But those were Bell & Howell.
I have a Wollensak recorder made to be hooked to a slide projector, and it can record tapes with the slide-change tones. Oh, and the recording quality..............amazing.
Nice stuff you got there , a year ago i had much more than you had , but recently , i've thrown away a lot of radios and radio casette recorders, kept only the decks :D
Did you know that the middle image (the one you see before clicking in the video to watch it) is a reel-to-reel in the U.S.S. Razorback battle submarine? We were touring it and I took pictures of the reel-to-reels in it!
HA! The defeat of WMG, and the audio is back.

If the speaker is put to a headphone jack, it won't be very loud.

If you have an amp, you could do that from the headphone jack, or tap in where the wires go directly to the speakers.
