@johnmair probably a few years away - 1.9.2 is the current version. 1.8.6 is the current 1.8.x so 1.9 will probably have a few more versions before 2.0 starts to come out
@johnmair As of now, February 24, 2013 is the planned release date. It's also the 20th anniversary of Ruby's conception, when the name was decided on and prior to any code being written. There are way more references to this on the Japanese web (search for ルビー 2013年2月24日), but it seems like a reasonable enough assumption.
@nsakic Which is actually a pretty good thing when it comes to Ruby and Objective-C compatibility, especially now with things like MacRuby and RubyCocoa.
