I would always go to the roost and get coffee, it was normal in myanimal crossing life, and purposely would leave the dialogue open so I could continue pretending I was drinking coffee, and talking to Brooster.
Can't wait to get the 3DS version of the newest AC game.. I can't touch my DS or Wii games because I deleted my towns on both, and I lost my game cube.. but I will make sure to cherish the 3DS version, since it may be the last game I may ever play worth nostalgia in my ending childhood.
I grew up on Animal Crossing. Each song reminds me of a more innocent time in my life. I remember going to the Roost just so I could try and break the ice with Brooster. Now I play games like Black Ops and Left 4 Dead. But there will always be room in my heart for Animal Crossing...
One time it was raining (in real life), I was on my bed (NOT UNDER THE BLANKETS), and I had a seperate blanket (not the bed ones) that was really comfy. I have a Really big, stuffed bunny, and I was playing WW and was in the cofee shop....and fell asleep. After about 2 hours I woke up and I saved and quit, then fell asleep at the title screen. Lol
The only thing I wish was in the gamecube version...if it had the coffee shop and observatory there would be no reason at all to play the other two games.
@nerdystarwarsman1994 And, the fact you can just have your fossils identified by Blathers. Oh, and personally...I like the look of City Folk, the graphics are smoother :<
@mfm1505 Just save it from your player. Easy enough. If your player doesn't have the option, view the source of the pop-up window and find the actual MIDI file name there.
My friend learned how to play this song perfectly without sheet music, I heard it once and decided then and there that it would be the song I walk down the aisle of my wedding to. :)
Keeper1st: You're awesome! I heard this when I downloaded the anime movie (wow...that's was only for the kiddies!). The scene where this plays, the characters talk about "beautiful music", but I couldn't find this in an Animal Crossing soundtrack.
Now I've finally got a lead on it. You're the best!
@Flucksie It would be more difficult to make pictures of the keyboard notes than it would be for him to learn to read the sheet music provided, I think!
As for minor keys, definitely... but this tune is in C Major.
@mrscourtycute I don't know what you mean. There is a link to download the sheet music in the description. Basic instruction on reading sheet music for piano can be found on the web.
Well, if you don't have the fonts installed, then you can't see the text to copy 'n' paste... but if you do, then you can copy 'n' paste that. Then look for "ハトの巣" in the list, or just enjoy 'em all one at a time; they're all quite good MIDI file renditions of tunes from the game.
The score was made in Sibelius. What you're viewing is a PDF created by PrimoPDF from Sibelius. What you're hearing is GoldWave playing a WAV that generated from a MIDI file by SynthFont using the 1GB Maestro Grand Piano sample set.
Doctors actually warned against the rhythms? Cool :P And I see what you mean about the tuplets. What about hemiolas though? They're in baroque music...
Hemiolas don't have anything to do with this tune, since it's an unvarying four-beats-to-the-bar rhythm. A hemiola by definition is something that is done to a tune with three beats to the bar, only you switch it up by making it seem for a moment that you're doing two beats. That sort of rhythmic surprise did make its way into ragtime music courtesy of James P. Johnson, and is considered a hallmark of "stride". It's not a hemiola since ragtime is two-to-the-bar, but it's the same sort of idea.
In response to Keeper1st- syncopation was around way before 110 years ago- even Beethoven who died in 1827 used it. (think groups of 6 on one beat) and hemiolas were common in the baroque era. One reason it sounds classical is due to the argeggiated bassline.
You're confusing tuplets with syncopation. While the notes of tuplets are on off-beats, they're not accented melody notes; they're leading to an accented melody note invariably on a downbeat. Syncopated melodies were so new in the early 20th century that some doctors wrote warnings against it, fearing that listening to syncopated music would cause health problems! Yes, the arpeggiated bass here sounds baroque, but the syncopated melody is decidedly modern.
It isn't a classical tune -- not with that syncopation in it. Certainly it was composed specifically for the game just like everything else in the game.
It's like comparing The Ghostbusters song is the same as the song 'I want a new drug' or yesterday is from a neapolitean song 'Piccere' Che Vene a Dicere'
Yeah, and the style of playing a compound meter with groups of three was common in Baroque music. Take "Jesu, Man's Joy of Desiring" as an example. In many ways, that may sound similar to this, only it's in 9/8 time instead of 12/8, and of course isn't syncopated like this is (syncopation only entering popular music several hundred years later, just about 110 years ago).
excellent, straight to the point, no weird chords like some of the other sheet music out there, this looks playable on my harp! =D great job! good sheet music arrangements are acceptable excuses for getting sidetracked! 8P
this is beautiful

i really am having a hard time believing that, i coulda swore i heard this song before the game was made.
i guess i must have just heard a song similar to it.

it's just a very common chords progression.
