why did people say Toy story 3 is incredible? I watched it and I think UP is much more emotional and richer story wise than toy story 3 no question asked.
Incredible film, being an addict of films, and even having watched films of the 1930's, I have to say - this is the only film i've ever been able to say... 'This is my favourite film'.. Thousands of films and I always figured that saying was ignorant, though I now disagree. A movie has never had me in tears before, so many emotions, fantastic. I love it, haven't seen it? Go see it, NOAW.
Starting to get used to your good analysis. This was a beutiful film and I think you're right on the spot about everything you say about it. Except I think Ratatouille was the last one that got close to being as good as The Incredibles...that's just me, of course.
Personally, I love Ratatouille as well. Brad Bird is my favorite Pixar director and it's a great film. It seemed to me like the Western version of Kiki's Delivery Service.
I can't really rank them because they're all amazing films and have significant meaning to me personally, however I said that because I think that Up appeals to a broader audience and is more direct like Incredibles and Nemo were. Whereas Wall-E and Rat were "harder sells" and people had to extract the themes.
I always though youtube had posts from the bottom to the top. @_@
Either way, Up was a really good movie. I rate it at the top of any of the other amazing Pixar movies. Almost all of my thoughts about it were summarized in your video, so I don't really have anything else to say. :P
This film was truly excellent. Although I have to say that the ONLY choice for role of Carl (even if a possible live action version was done) would have been Ed Asner. See him in Mary Tyler Moore to realize why (he was old even when he was only middle aged)
I completely agree with this review. Pixar has never disappointed me. But this time, they exceeded my expectations. I can't remember the last time I was so touched by a film... and by a CARTOON, no less.
What an amazing video review, finally someone on youtube who really knows film.
I'm looking forward to seeing UP soon. Just a quick question, did you see it in 3d? I know the tint of the glasses tend to block out a lot of color and with a vibrant film like UP that seems like it could be a slight detractor.
Oh really? Wow, PIXAR is just the best, they have made some of my all time favorite films, and Im pretty sure this is gonna be a great new addition to that, and the soundtrack sounds so great! I want to get the soundtrack SO bad haha
Up was great. It's one of my favorite Pixar films, and I am a huge fan.

Great movie. The villain, though badass, was a bit underdeveloped as a character. That bothers me most. Loved the rest.

i would have liked if Walter Matthau had been the voice of the old man... if he'd lived, that is...

Yeah me too. PIXAR proves once again that if you make a great story in any medium anyone can love it.

hey is there a short film befor Up?

Yes. It's a cute short called "Partly Cloudy", which is directed by Peter Sohn (who played Emile in Ratatouille).
Also attached is a Teaser Trailer for Toy Story 3.
