both. he splits his signal. and it's not like the names on the cabs matter, either...Jesse replaced all the speakers in his cabs with PA speakers. he also plays through an old Peavey head and an Acoustic head.

oh definitely wrong. the cab has a LOT to do with your sound. just as much as the head. the speakers are what the sound is coming out of.

@JosephCote27 i've been playing bass in a band since i was 11. yeah the cab is important, don't get me wrong, if you have shitty speakers it's going to be noticeable, but not as noticeable as the difference between a $50, four knob solid state head and a nice ampeg tube head. i've had both, and played them through plenty of different speakers. playing the first head, or even a $200-$300 nicer head, through an orange won't sound as good as the ampeg. imo.

and I've been playing bass since I was 13. that's not a fair comparison, honestly. that's like comparing those two amps are like comparing a cheap $20 10-watt practice amp to a Mesa Boogie M9 Carbine through their 8x10. of course it's gonna sound different. I mean, hell, I've compared the new Ampeg and Acoustic mini stacks side by side. using the same Ampeg head on both Acoustic/Ampeg mini cabs, I found the Acoustic cab sounds a lot better. so, do some more research...

Anyone who can do well in all 3 of their band projects Misfits, Samhain And Danzig don't really "Suck"... Also to have been respected by legends such as Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash and to write songs they recorded... I don't believe Danzig sucks as you think...
