If you remember LAUGH-IN Comedian Ruth Buzzi did her on some comedy sketches, but RUTH (SHE WAS FANTASTIC) drop it because of complaints from Katherine Kaulmann, herself. She resemble her to the T.
"Katherine Koolman" THAT'S a blast from the past. She was a televangelist (of sorts...she started every low budget program with 'I believe in miracles because I believe in God' in a dramatic raspy voice). And that contestant's mouth is HUGE!
@trythinkingnow I wondered who Katherine Koolman was cause I've never heard of her. Thank you for filling me in. And yes, the lady does resemble an Al Hirschfeld caricature.
@ShiksaWithChutzpah1 Just as an fyi: Her named is spelled Kathryn Kuhlman. Although I am non-religious, she was kind of fun to listen to because of her unusual way of speaking (which is what Paul is referring to.) She had a rather soothing manner, which I assume is why she was popular.
Kathryn Kuhlman was a lady faith healer and televangelist. She'd stand on an empty stage in a long gown and just ramble.
