A.S is the abbreviation for Alaih-e-Salaam which is Arabic for: Upon him be peace.

A.S is arabic for 'alayhis-salaam' which means 'peace be upon him'. we say this after the names of the prophets as a sign of respect. However, after the prophet muhammed we say 'peace and blessings be upon him' :):):)

We Write A.S. after all Prophets because after saying a Prophet's name we say "Alayhi Salam" which means "peace be with him"

Alayhum As-Salam means Peace be with them (plural)
