  • Wow,habe diese Lied immer geliebt und nun spielt es mein Idol David Gilmour ;-)

  • What a fantastic version of this classic instrumental...I had the privilage of seeing Fleetwood Mac twice in the 60s..the first time it was just Peter, Mick,John and Jeremy...the second time Danny had joined and could that boy play...Peter stood back and let Danny play..brilliant..Peter Green was and still is the best Blues guitarist we have ever produced..BB King said that Peter is the only one to bring a tear to his eyes...Haven't heard this version before..brilliant..thanks for uploading

  • Anyone ever notice that this song and David Gilmour's song off of On an Island "Then I close my eyes" sounds really similar?

  • David Gilmour playing Peter Green :). Pleased to hear this, but, sorry David, even the likes of you can't live up to the standards of Peter and Danny. Matter of fact, I don't think any guitarist(s) could match the kind of beautiful harmony heard from Peter and Danny. Still, I'm glad to heard this; shows that David appreciates Peter Green, which I was never sure about before. I wonder if Snowy White turned him onto him :P.

  • @hellswinter David Gilmour was always aware of Green's brilliance. In fact, Green had somewhat of an impact on Gilmour's playing. Snowy had nothing to do with his affinity for Peter Green.

  • @hellswinter Same could be said the other way around :P

  • This from that great Fleetwood Mac album "The Pious Bird of Good Omen" with Peter Green... great stuff.

  • The Christians Are Right ... God Walks Among Us

  • @tiagotopo1994 David Gilmour is an Atheist

  • @low72 LOL, ouch

  • @rexasul haha, seriously though, David is an Atheist, and so was Roger & Nick, I think Rick was the only one that believed.

  • A beautiful interpretation of a song that reminds me of the few times as a child i stood by the edge of the Pacific in New Zealand and thanked life for whatever creator whom orders the higher order, Life, the Universe, God? Music is God to me and thank you for this. If i was an Albatross, this is how i would want to fly over the ocean.

  • DAVID NUMBER 1

  • @samiraandannette My life did'nt change at all... I became what I am, wiht Mr. Gilmour's mucis, and Mr. Wright's and Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Doors and more from birth in 1965...

  • And yes life is gonna be so test less when someday our God Gilmour will go from this world and its really gonna be sad day for all of us..........I am sorry that I am wrighting this words but its true . This is what I am filling right now listening to this music and yes I know that Me and all the pink floyd lovers are always going to remember our brother our friend and our music God ''Gilmour''.....................

  • @samiraandannette I know what you mean, its a shame when an idol dies, but its a shame for anyone and they're familys when they die.

  • Yes lovely, thanks for posting.

I recall an old interview from Musician magazine decades ago where Gilmour recalled the pre- Dark Side tours of colleges etc (quiet respectful audiences) and Fleetwood Mac being one of their main rivals on that circuit. I remember wondering just how envious of Green's playing he might had been circa 69/70.

    wordofgord

  • Life is good when Gilmour is still playing divine classics like they are new. LOVE IT.
