  • Hmmm, he is the master so I can't be too critical, but I saw him do a show like this once where I just wanted him to do one song the way you remember it. I like his recent incarnation better.

  • "My Daddy he said.....he said so MANY things...."

  • WATCHING THIS IWHEN I WAS 14 NSPIRED ME TO GO ON TO WRITE 1500 SONGS. THANK YOU BOB.

  • @ramblingdanwinnipeg EXACTLY!!!!!!~E

  • ouch.

  • It looks like Adam Sandler impersonating Bob Dylan! Lol (love the song and this version however!)

  • I love bob, this performance with comment was exactly on time and still today is revelant. He has the pulse of our times. this performance is classic and this gutarist is smokin"

  • whatever, haters. this version rocks!

  • haha very funny hes doing a 'dylan' on himself here, but typical of his later years performances sad )

  • True to form, Dylan is both confounding and true to himself.

  • when was this?

  • Uh..yeah..not his finest performance he ans Jack had a few lol...but lvoe the interplay with Nicholson before this and after.

  • jady dee lay

  • He had to be on something, he was so fidgety during his acceptance speech, and probably while he was singing as well.

  • This is Bob Allen Dylan...B.A.D.....a good bad!

  • This is Awsome:)Dylan on his best.I like this kind of fast version...

Se Dylan Live 5 times.Collect all his cd/lp.....

  • Aw, he's such a cuteyy!

  • yes, and his speech had incredible comic timing.

  • very strange. but i've never expected him to be conventional. and i remember everybody talking about this the next day.

he may have had a fever or the flu. but it looks like he took everything in the medicine cabinet to take away symptoms. just an opinion.

  • this video looks like it's adam sandler making fun of dylan... he def sounds like he's playing shitty on purpose didn't want to be there or something cause this is this first time i've disliked the way he sang

  • Cool

  • gross...what a bummer

  • He made it' hideous' on purpose for this live T.V. awards show performance. - because, so apparently, folks did not get the message from his earlier renditions.

  • damn bob. this sucks.

  • looks like he was pissed about something.

  • fuck off bob what bthe fuck are u playing at!? totaly shat all over the soul of this song. pissed me of

  • Kind of sounds like the clash covering the song at times, defiantly a different Take on it. I like it.

  • Eccentric and obscure as ever :o)

  • i love his original acoustic version but this one is just hideous.

  • @welcome2myhell Your comment does not make sense.

  • @welcome2myhell For those who read "Like a Rollin Stone", by Greil Marcus, understand the beauty in this

  • As I recall from my historical research, Dylan actually had a fever on this day which might have accounted for his higher-than-usual nasally vocal. Yet, I enjoy it. :)

  • @andrewdb01 And it was his weird alcoholic recovery years when he had a bad writers block before he would come back with Time out of Mind and Love and Theft. But this performance was terrible.

  • what year?

  • Yeah, I mean don't forget, Bob had been singing for 40+ years. Look at people like Tom Waits: quality voices don't last forever, and anyone whose does never stepped out of the recording studio.

  • @uchicagochris Tom Waits still has a quality voice. It always sound rough though which is why it still sounds good

  • hahaha speech was awesome! "well my Daddy he didn't leave me too much you know he was a very simple man and he didn't leave me alot but what he told me was this, he did said Son.. He said umm...... *long pause*....... He said so many things you know." hahaha.. at 6:16 he looks at the award and shakes his head lol would love to know what it was that Bob was unsure of. lol

  • what year wast his recorded fuckwitface

  • bob is a gemini, the mutant communicator

  • I didn't enjoy how he sung it at all.. sad to say.

  • It hurts to say it but that was a terrible performance, he must of been drunk surely.

  • Fantastic performance! In this was the first War with Iraq startet and Bob was pissed off

  • Cool version of Masters of War. Bob looks super nervous and fidgety when he's accepting the award....

  • @carryonallnight he had a fever of like 103

  • without a doubt -bob's worst tv appearance ever

  • Oh my God. The lead guitarist is amazing.
