Ugh! I'm a senior in high school, who lives in California, and I think it's really unfortunate what has happened here. We need to help them and the people of Darfur, Laos, etc... The saga never continues because WE(meaning you, me, and everyone else on this planet) let it. Remember that.
Oh my god! i have lived in myn for 10 yrs, true it was not developed, but then it was much better than developed countries, ppl actually smiled there, and now the horrible selfish government is still thinking about POLITICS!! really how mad can someone be just for THEIR OWN safety!!!
ohh man, i hope USA does smth abt it, in the government of myn, only USA can help
We thought it was a category 3 storm now we realize that its a 4 category
Nice clip! This is very clear that Burmese military junta has unprepared for this Cyclone Nagis because it has more interests in forged ahead with a constitutional referendum intended to cement its power after a campaign of arm-twisting and intimidation to Burmese people.

I just looked at UNOSAT website, and clicked on the links to do the google maps with the storm warnings.
The storm was a category 4 went it hit land. With the counterclockwise wind/storm surge, that is particularly nasty.
The storm was a category 2 by the time it hit Yangoon.
The storm did grow alot in the last day before it hit land.

I remember seeing a news article that both India and Thailand had the warned the government about it being a category 3.
Can anyone say when it was upgraded from a simple storm?
