Everybody needs to watch the film 'fever pitch'. They capture the moment perfectly at the end of that film. Sent shivers down my spine and i dont even support Arsenal.
you can't even write a story this dramatic, its a real life fairytale. everything fell into the place. the final game of the season - literally, all other teams had finished their season as this was the last match of the round. and it was down to the top 2. thats rare enough, then we had to win by 2 goals at anfield to win the league by goal difference, that's even rarer. its rare to win on goal difference, let alone defeating the other contenders to do it, and to do it in stoppage time...DREAM
i'm no gooner but i rem jumpin up and down i my living room when this went in. talkin to mates before this game none of us would've put money on this result
I cannot imagine the emotions both sets of fans must have gone through that day. Absolutely unreal the way that unfolded, and I think Arsenal could win the league, double, treble, whatever, and I don't think they'll ever top the feeling they had when this went in.
Only once has the title been decided by the final kick of the season, when Michael Thomas added to Alan Smith's opener to give Arsenal an incredible 2-0 win at Anfield and deny Liverpool an historic second double. Liverpool simply had to avoid defeat by two goals to win their seventh title of the 80s. Level on points and goal difference, George Graham's Gunners took the top spot on goals scored and Brian Moore entered the words 'It's up for grabs now!'into football folklore.

As a Man united fan it's very rare that I hope Arsenal win. However, I'll support any team against Liverpool. This was a happy night!

what I love is Thomas' celebration afterwards, he scores runs a few yards before doing a flip/somersault along the ground!
Lovely!
