What the hell is a drying cage? ( well i get what it is but...) What happend to the good old blanket? Putting dogs into a "dog solarium" should atleast be consoled with its owner before being put thru such torture.

Bulldogs do not do well in heat so i plan to keep him under a cool fan during summertime and get him a little doggie treadmil so he can get exercise while staying cool. :)

Drying cages should be banned anyway. They serve no real purpose but to only dry your dog faster with all the other bad effects of dry skin, etc. If anybody notices after they wash their dog they want to get dirty again because it's a natural instinct. They must have been idiots, because even while I was working at the Petsmart Petshotel, and bathing dogs there, I was trained not to kennel dry a great number of breeds, particularly those with flatter faces. my puggle... she has chewed through every toy... it took her 2 days to get both ends chewed off a nylabone.....but they are the most adoralble dogs out there.... well the second most adorable, after Shi Tzus.... So much energy, well SO MUCH ENERGY, but every second is worth it, all puggles provide entertainment, and mine LOVES TO LICK, she jumps, paws o your shoulders and licks the hell out of you, and she lays on your back and chews her bone on it. Puggles are great dogs, just need ALOT of play

I'm sorry to hear your poor pug mix died. I own a pug and know they are sensitive to heat. I used to work a groomers as well, grooming pugs, bulldogs, etc. We don't use drying cages and I've honestly never heard of them....we used real kennels with external dryers that we wheel around. They have a cool and warm setting and the dog can escape the dryer. I hope you win the lawsuit. There is no excuse for not monitoring ANY dog being dried by ANY means.

They must have been idiots, because even while I was working at the Petsmart Petshotel, and bathing dogs there, I was trained not to kennel dry a great number of breeds, particularly those with flatter faces. I hope the lawsuit goes in your favor, because this is something EVERY groomer should be aware of and its ridiculous they werent.

I feel your pain. but at least u had more time with your dog. My 1 year old beagle died wednesday 9/16/09 because some retarded car ran him over. And also the car kept going and never stopped. in fact he was speeding. no time to get the licence plate. I cried my eyes out. i still am ='(

Thank you so much for posting this info. I soooo feel your loss. I couldn't imagine what I would do if a groomer did this to my dogs. But in fact, I was unaware that drying cages could do this to a dog with short snouts. I see this has been up for a while, and I hope you have gotten another pet. No matter what, the loss of one shouldn't stop you from loving another. After the loss of my 2 labradors (we had to put them down due to age, 15 years old), I puchased two puggles and couldn't be happier

That's the only thing keeping me from getting a pet when I'm older and on my own. I just can't stand it when they pass away. I'm a guy, and when our beagle died a few years back I cried for a week or two. (I even cried at the end of the Marley And Me movie). Really cute puppy though, sorry for your loss.

omg my beagle died too 2 days ago cause he got run over. he got run over from a hit and run bastard. i also cried during marly and me and i think if someone didnt they have problems cause marly and me was an amazing story about a bond between a man and his dog.

my puggle... she has chewed through every toy... it took her 2 days to get both ends chewed off a nylabone.....but they are the most adoralble dogs out there.... well the second most adorable, after Shi Tzus.... So much energy, well SO MUCH ENERGY, but every second is worth it, all puggles provide entertainment, and mine LOVES TO LICK, she jumps, paws o your shoulders and licks the hell out of you, and she lays on your back and chews her bone on it. Puggles are great dogs, just need ALOT of play

im sad to one day my dog jug wich is half jack russel and pug named loompy ran away but we caught him and he almost bit some one . the next week those people complained about my dog so the police came and took my dog the next day they called us and said he was sick. it has been atleast 1 month and we havent heard yet. i really miss him and i wanna bomb pakistan because there the ones who did this to us!

I'm sorry to hear your poor pug mix died. I own a pug and know they are sensitive to heat. I used to work a groomers as well, grooming pugs, bulldogs, etc. We don't use drying cages and I've honestly never heard of them....we used real kennels with external dryers that we wheel around. They have a cool and warm setting and the dog can escape the dryer. I hope you win the lawsuit. There is no excuse for not monitoring ANY dog being dried by ANY means.
