How the heck did you find the battles between the two King pieces? (Both the one in this video and the one in the Empire version.)

"King takes King" isn't even a valid chess move (at least in Western chess - it requires putting one's own king in check). Was it stuffed on the original game CD somewhere, do you have to force a stalemate (a player can't move without putting their king in check, but their king isn't already in check), or is there some other condition for those?

I placed my King on an intercept square, then using two other pieces (Queen and Castle) forced the opponent King into the ambush. Since the all the opponents final moves will place them into check regardless, the AI selects a move towards my King. (Being the only threatening move; putting me into check as well). Result, now being my move, an automatic checkmate with the battle scene of King vs. King being displayed.

Ah. Yeah, in the original Battle Chess forcing a situation like that ends the game in a stalemate ("How boring!", the game comments) instead of allowing the opponent to force a check with their King.

Always thought Luke should have been the queen piece and Leia King. The in terms of chess, the piece names are gender neutral (IE vader being the queen)

I like the fights that the emperor is in as he is my favourite character. I liked Revenge of the sith the most because palpatine was in it alot.
