She is beautiful. What is her name? We might create our own future World of robots to do our work then find we are doing more work repairing, re-designing and constructing more robots? Do Aliens find when travelling across space mechanical systems are always important back up devices? Might they carry an emergency abacus or even Alien clockwork gadgets for long journeys?
Impressive to see this fully made and working. I tried it (following instructions in the set), and found that the feet as designed were inadequate and needed a substantial rebuild, and had tremendous problems with model stability.
Thanks for your comments. Enrique Ferrand deserves all the credit for building it. I only persuaded him of doing it and provided the parts and later made the movie. I am glad you share my enthusiasm for this great model. Meccano robots are great, and a piece of history too!

Hello,
I have a meccano robot almost identical to yours.
I believe it was a store display made in the 1940's or 1950's.
When I received it I plugged it in it moved for a second and some sparks came from around the motor.
I live in the United States 110V.
I next tried to use a step up convertor 110 to 220 but still I cannot get it to work.
Can you give me some suggestions.
thank you.
