1. The ride is already safe. If it wasn't, it would not be open. Also, it was made by B&M, so it basically has a saftey sticker on it.
2. It would not go faster. And even if it did go faster, they would have to move all supports because all of the forces would be different. The ride is fine.
Without the trains Diamondback has, it would just be another hyper, but these trains make it memorable. No sides, basically propped seats bolted down on a platform, so much room, restraints are comfy, no seatbelts.
yeah im goin to kings island on the 28th cause my birthdays on the 31st and im gonna ride all the rides im 8 years old love u kings island peace out !
Yeah the bending sort of scared me. . . That's a good thing right? I don't want it to collapse or anything while me or anyone happens to be riding it. . .
hmm well actually the riders at the back do get a little wet. theres a video somewhere here on youtube of the opening day and the girls mentions after getting off the ride her sleeves got wet, cos the were in the back, but its not drenched at all.

i really dont see that. none of the other drops have to bend it doesnt make sense im so confused. plus that drop is very un-supported, you cant argue that even if it is supposed to shake. my point is, ive NEVER seen a coaster shake like that. millennium force and ttd dont do that, and they're much taller and faster. youd have to take the mass of the trains into account. ttd;s arent as big as diamondback, but mf has massive trains. could you explain more?
yes, a lot of rides shake like this, but it is because of how they are designed. without the shaking, the energy from the passing trains would basically destroy the hill and the ride could fall apart. no extra supports are necessary
It's supposed to do that! That's an example of great engineering. When the track is shaking, it's exerting all the thousands of pounds of forces being sent through it from the passing train.
cos i've never ever seen a coaster bend or shake like this. I mean nitro is a great example of master engineering and its solid stiff. they should have more supports though
Yes. If you get up real close to coaster tracks, watch carefully and you will see them bend and shake. Even Arrow's and Intamins bend and shake. Wooden coasters are a great example of this.
That is DEFIONETLY the diamondback!!! Best ride in Existance

If you think the bending of the track on a steel coaster is freaky, you should look at a wooden coaster up close =)

omg did the track just move 0:03 anaways this is the best ride in the world rode it 5times
lilt5113 2 years ago
Yeah, the track moved, it's designed to do that, if it didn't the thing would snap like a twig because of the force applied to it.

If steel did not bend or flex, it would simply sheer. It is designed to flex in that way.
Steel bends and flexes and this is one of it's greatest properties of strength as a construction material.
ALL Steel coasters do this.

Man, you see how much that first drop bends when the train goes through?
MestizoFilipino 2 years ago
No, the trains aren't even remotely like those on Raging Bull. Bull has four-across seating with shorter cars.
jeffyjonesx 2 years ago
The trains are identical to those on Raging Bull, but a scoop is located under the last car on each train that creates the splash down.
DReifGalaxyM31 2 years ago
Those trains are nothing like RB, Bull is 4 across, these are B&M's new trains, take a closer look.

Wow, They really should add more supports to that drop because Nitro nor Apollos chariot Shake like that.
NitroGadvRules 2 years ago
yeah that seems like a huge mistake from B&M...or kings island? id day B&M
i mean there arent any supports in between the ones at the top and bottom of the lift hill. it should not be shaking like that.
rollercoasterfan97 2 years ago
It's supposed to do that! That's an example of great engineering. When the track is shaking, it's exerting all the thousands of pounds of forces being sent through it from the passing train.
