"Funeral March" is originally from Patrick Cassidy's album "Famine Remembrance", released in 1997. (It's long since been out of print.) The music on this album was composed in remembrance of the Great Famine of Ireland. If you think this particular track sounds haunting and apocalyptic, you should hear the tracks "Lament" and "Saint Patrick's Breastplate II", also from the album.
I just learned about this piece (and Patrick Cassidy) having watched "Tree of Life". Beautiful music, beautiful movie. But this painting is also absolutely beautiful!

He has done it again! After the beautiful aria in "Hannibal", this again is breathtaking. Someone let him compose the score for a full movie please !! :-)
