True Afghans protect their own people. Their own village. Their own Family. What I loved about Afghanistan was even though we asked who the Taliban were, most Afghans would protect their Family. Not tell us anything. That is something I can respect. What I can not respect is that they protected an Arab, Osama Bin Laden. Not an Afghan. Which has cause a brutal war for 10 years now.

Protecting Osama Bin Laden was a bad idea, it's caused so many people to die. However, I respect the Pashtun peoples choice and I understand it. The Pashtun people protected me while I was in Afghanistan, and at the same time protected our enemies, its a difficult thing to understand coming from the west. But I do respect it.
