i saw what looked like a shooting star, but it was going fast like in every video ive seen.... and it wasnt a falling star compared to the falling star videos ive seen here on the internet.. so im guessing a UFO? it was heading south. I live in North western New Jersey. The big dipper was in the North west part of the sky that night.

Date was May, 30, 2010

Anyone else see it or have an idea what it could have been?

We could call it a meteoroid but I prefer OMG WTF FLYING BIG MAC. It had a slight tail and a reddish-orange hue but the camera I was using was weak and didn't pick it up the color variation. I think it appears to be moving so fast because it was pretty close to where I was standing and came in at a low angle so I got to see it for a long time. To answer my own question, "that was one of the longest burning meteoroids I've ever seen that I just happened to catch on video."
